Lovingly refurbished barn in the village of Kings Meaburn, the perfect escape for a family or friends looking to explore the Lake District or the North Pennines, with walks direct from the doorstep.

Situated just a short drive from the market town of Penrith and found between the Lake District and North Pennines, this area offers a great base to get out and explore, with some lovely walks available from your front door. From May to September why not enjoy a swim in the open-air pool at either Shap or Asham. There are lots of equestrian centres locally if you fancy a hack while taking in the local countryside or head into the Lakes for the day and take a trip on the Ullswater steamers.

Walking up to the entrance of the barn from the parking area as you find yourself in this stunning converted barn. The first floor offers an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with feature beams and a Lakeland stone chimney breast. There is a cosy wood burner in the lounge with a TV surrounded by comfy seating. The dining area opposite the kitchen has a large farm style table for the whole family to catch up and plan your days out or enjoy a nice evening meal. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. It then leads onto a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There are lovely views over the fields from the lounge, which in the springtime are full of lambs playing and you are sure to see lots of other wildlife. Heading down to the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom and the bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. Further along the hall you will find a super-king-size bedroom and a double bedroom with en-suite shower and WC.

There is a private patio area at the entrance to the house where you can sit out in the evening to watch the stars and enjoy a glass of wine or dine alfresco on the charcoal BBQ. There is ample private parking for two cars.
