Midway between the little village of Goodrich with its impressive castle ruins and Symonds Yat, a popular tourist destination with fantastic views from Symonds Yat Rock, as well as being in easy reach of the Royal Forest of Dean, the area affords wonderful walking, fishing, canoeing and miles of peaceful cycling opportunities. The delightful market towns of Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, and Gloucester are all within easy driving distance.
Enter the cottage by the front porch, with space to for your coats and boots, which leads you into the spacious lounge with feature fireplace, wood burner and Smart TV, one end of this welcoming room is a snug area with doors out to the lovely garden, a perfect spot to curl up with a good book or watch the local wildlife. If you decide to eat in there is a lovely kitchen to cook in, well equipped with electric oven and gas hob, microwave and fridge. There is a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine in the back utility/boot room. The dining room enjoys beautiful views out across the Wye valley and is a lovely sunny spot to enjoy breakfast and plan the day's activities. Also on the ground floor you will find a separate WC and the first of the four bedrooms, a spacious king-size which has an en-suite shower room with a large walk in shower and WC. Up the stairs you will find a second king-size bedroom, one double and a twin bedroom, all with panoramic views of the Herefordshire countryside. To finish off the accommodation there is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
The enclosed garden offers a table and chairs on the patio, a comfortable swing bench with stunning views onto Coppet Hill, and a gas BBQ for sun-filled al fresco dining. There is also a chimenea for cosy evenings in the colder months, a lovely lawned area, and secure storage for bikes and canoes. Through the garden gate you can step out onto the local footpaths leading deeper into the countryside or to one of several local pubs. There is parking for up to 3 cars.
