This is a good place if you want to walk the nearby Fell or Eden valley , its a good 45/60 minute car ride to anywhere in the Lake District. WiFi is unreliable. Its a very peaceful old and often dark cottage with lovely shared garden and surrounded by farmland.

We have been to Kirkland many times over the last 20 years and absolutely love it. The cottages are beautiful, cosy, warm and comfortable in the most peacful and beautiful setting. The log burner is a must for us and we don't need much of an accuse to put it on! Penrith is about 20 minutes away with all amenities. Langwathby village is 10 minutes dRead moreown the road with a great local pub and shop. Not too far to all the beauty of the North lakes too. We will be back again and again. Highly recommend! Hide

Lovely cottage in a stunning location. Sketchy wifi so if you need to work this would be difficult. If you want to get away from it all this is the place for you. The gardens are beautiful and abundant in wildlife. Great for walking.

The cottage is lovely, quite remote, just next to the North Pennies Regional Park. The interior is charming and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen. The big garden is wonderful and the views across the Lake District are incredible. The stream close by was great for our kids, as were the sheep, local farm. Very friendly hosts who live in the compounRead mored. We very much enjoyed our stay! Hide
