This spacious cottage has a homely ambience and nestles within a conservation area in a pretty village. With easy access to Beaminster, Bridport and the stunning Jurassic coastline, this is the ideal base for a family holiday.

The charming village of Netherbury is set within a picturesque valley backed by verdant rolling hills. Set out on foot to explore the many footpaths through the surrounding countryside, stopping off for a drink or hearty meal at a local pub on the way. Fishing can be booked at nearby Mangerton Lake and just 2 miles away is the small town of Beaminster which offers a good range of local amenities, or head 3.5 miles south to popular Bridport, which is known as the gateway to the Jurassic Coast. This vibrant town has a weekly market, a great selection of independent shops, coffee shops and restaurants, as well as a thriving selection of boutiques selling antiques and vintage curios, should you wish to seek out some treasures. Heading a mile further south from Bridport will bring you to the popular coastal resort of West Bay. The swathes of pebble beach offer spectacular views over Golden Cap and wonderful walks along the South West Coast Path. Boat trips also run from the working harbour around the coast to Lyme Regis. This pretty town is well worth a visit and is home to charming cobbled streets, ice cream coloured houses and plenty of galleries to browse.

This mid terraced property is set within the heart of this peaceful village. A shared path and steps leads to the front door. Once inside you are met with a welcoming hallway with a useful separate WC. Immediately in front of you is the kitchen. This well-equipped space has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and slimline dishwasher. Just next door is a spacious lounge/diner, which has a Smart TV and electric effect wood burner. Leading on from here is an attractive sun room with seating which overlooks the courtyard garden. Heading back into the entrance hall you will find a flight of stairs rising to the first floor. There are three bedrooms to choose from, the first is a double with en-suite shower room and WC. Next is a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made as a 2’6” twin on request) and finally an inviting twin. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside by either the kitchen or sun room brings you into a courtyard garden which is laid to gravel and bordered by natural hedgerows. There is garden furniture where you can enjoy al fresco meals and drinks, whilst relaxing listening to the church bells. To the rear of the property is one off-road parking space (suitable for a small car only). Alternatively, a village car park is located just behind the property (a small weekly charge applies).

The garden wasn't really dog-friendly as it was all stones and easy to escape from .

A spacious cottage in a good location for exploring the surrounding area. Parking is an issue as not much room to manoeuvre, even a small car so we parked in the village hall car park. The cottage good do with a good, more thorough clean.

We enjoyed our week at Briar Cottage. The whole house was more spacious than expected and the kitchen well equiped. It has been generally well thought out and was comfortable, cosy and welcoming. Car parking space is indeed for a small car and made the use of the village hall car park a necessity. No complaints at 3 pw! Netherbury village is charminRead moreg and in a handy location. Whilst we loved the church, the ringing of the bells throughout the night could prove problematic for light sleepers. Hide

Very nice cottage in a lovely quiet village within easy reach of Bridport for shopping requirements etc. Many excellent walks right from the cottage with a large wall map in the conservatory to help you plan routes. A lovely cottage in a very pretty little village in the peaceful countryside. Very well located for country walks or for access into Bridport and the beaches at West Bay, Charmouth and Lyme Regis. The cottage is very well maintained and well equipped, including plenty of books, games and puzzles to keep you entertained on wet days (we were lucky anRead mored had non-stop sunshine!). We would very happily return with our family and will certainly recommend to friends. Hide

Very spacious and comfortable cottage in a beautiful village close to Bridport for shopping and the seaside! We loved listening to the bells from the nearby church but some people might not. We enjoyed spending time in the conservatory especially as it wasnt really warm enough to sit in the garden.
