Ideally situated in the pretty East Sussex village of Ticehurst, with easy access to several good pubs makes this a great place for exploring the Kent and Sussex countryside. Enjoy cycling around Bewl Waters and Bedgebury Pinetum Forest. Those looking to soak up the local culture can enjoy a visit to Batemans, the former home of Rudyard Kipling or nearby Scotney Castle. Keen walkers can take advantage of numerous footpaths that lead straight from the front door and criss cross the beautiful High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ideally located for keen gardeners with Pashley Manor Gardens, King John’s Nursery and Great Dixter House & Gardens all within a short drive of the cottage and those wishing to venture slightly further afield, a trip to the coastal towns of Bexhill, Hastings, Eastbourne and Rye makes for a great day out.

A private pathway leads up to this pretty cottage which is located in the owner’s grounds. Enter the front door into a bright and airy lounge/kitchen/diner. The cosy lounge area is the perfect place to curl up on the sofa after a busy day exploring and catch up on your favourite TV programmes on the TV or relax with a good book. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine, perfect for preparing romantic meals which can then be enjoyed at the dining table and chairs. The bedroom offers a sumptuous double bed and the property is completed with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Heading outside there is a pretty courtyard garden which guests will have sole use of and is the perfect sun trap for enjoying alfresco meals at the patio table and chairs. There is private parking for two cars.

Great location. Local supermarket well stocked and within easy walking distance. The cottage is gorgeous and to have full use of the hosts wonderful garden makes it a great all round package

Lavender Yard is a really lovely holiday property. It's very comfortable, exceptionally clean and is equipped with everything you need. Ticehurst is a great base for a holiday, there are many historic houses and gardens to visit within a short drive away as well as towns such as Hastings, Rye and Battle. An exceptional cottage. Could not have been better. We appreciated the fruit in the bowl and the milk in the fridge on arrival. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and all amenities were extremely well thought out

A comfort, clean, well maintained property in a quiet area. Owners were very welcoming and helpful with lots of useful information on the local area. The milk and fruit waiting on arrival were most welcome. Thank you for an excellent visit.

Lavender Yard is a wonderful holiday property. Well thought out and comfortable with everything you need while you are away from home. The patio area is a relaxing place to sit after a busy day visiting National Trust properties, numerous gardens, preserved Steam Railways in the near vicinity. Stayed in this delightful property from 2nd June to 9th June. Very warm welcome by Les and Maggie and the milk and fresh fruit was very much appreciated. The property was absolutely immaculate, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It is ideally located for many National Trust properties and various locations of interest. We visited Batemans NT,Read more Scotney Castle NT, Sissinghurst Castle NT, Pashley Manor Gardens. Would recommend Rye, and Hastings Old Town. All in all a perfect holiday! Hide

We enjoyed a superb stay at Lavender Yard. The cottage was most comfortable, well equipped and in a lovely village with excellent opportunities for walking, eating out or using the bus. Our hosts, Les and Maggie, were delightful and made us very welcome. The milk and fruit on our arrival were much appreciated.
