Lovely situation but a bit lacking in equipment.

The best thing about the cottage are the three good sized bedrooms, with incredibly comfortable beds, along with the walk in shower which works a treat. However, the living space is very small so not great if stuck in during wet weather. And it's not a well stocked cottage - barely enough cutlery for one meal serving 6, no colander, no working tiRead moren opener, no mugs, just small cups - less than the bare minimum to be honest. And the rug was cleaner when we left than when we arrived - it being a very fluffy rug which retained much of what the previous occupants had left behind. That aside, the rest of the property was well cleaned. It is, however, part of an outdoor activity centre and you are overlooked at pretty close quarters by a nearby bunk house. Luckily this was only occupied at the weekend so the rest of the week was quiet. And the benefits of being linked to the outdoor centre are that you get 10% off any activities booked there, and we booked paddle boarding which was fantastic fun. So swings and roundabouts is how I would surmise this booking!! Hide

The Cottage seems to be marketed separately from the Outdoor Pursuits centre which is why we were surprised that the standard of some of the accommodation not quite to the expectation when booking privately and reviewing the online images. However, the staff on site were very helpful, the bathrooms, kitchen and beds/linen were absolutely clean and Read moreno issues. We felt the interior furnishings let the property down which is why we have given 3 stars. The accommodation is best suited to those enjoying the outdoor pursuits on offer which seemed great but probably needs a bit more updating if promoting separately from the centre. We hope this helps and is constructive and did not detract in anyway from a great getaway with stunning views! Thank you. Hide
