The cottage is situated in sweeping countryside, on the northern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Footpaths head off from your door, so you can get up and out in the morning and blaze your own trail into these magical hills. A 2-mile stroll will bring you to Pen y Crug, an Iron Age hillfort. Visit the local golf club, 1 mile away, for a round in the fresh air and a meal. For vibrant town life, a 2-mile scenic walk or drive brings you to Brecon.
The house itself is a classic country cottage but has been thoughtfully modernised inside, blending traditional style and contemporary details. The hub of the home is an inviting lounge, where you can unwind on sofas beside the wood burner. There is a wireless music system, and for a quieter night, the reading room is a warm and inviting nook. The kitchen adjoining the dining room offers stylish simplicity and views of the Brecon Beacons. Head upstairs and choose between six gorgeously designed bedrooms, each named after a Welsh peak and tranquil with natural tones and textures. On the first floor you will find a king-size room with an additional toddler bed and en-suite shower room, a super-king-size bedroom (which can be made into a twin room by arrangement) with an en-suite shower room. Up another flight of stairs are two king-size bedrooms – one with an en-suite bathroom with freestanding roll-top bath and shower over, while the other has a roll-top bath, a TV plus an en-suite shower room. Up a final flight of stairs are the final two bedrooms: one with a super-king-size which can be made into twin beds by request, and a king-size bed with an extra single bed which can be made up on request. These two bedrooms share a bathroom, while there is also an extra shower room downstairs.
Outside the property, the country delights continue. The garden is south facing, catching the sun as it pours into the valley. A delightful stream runs by at the end of the garden, and on the patio, a BBQ and hot tub provide the perfect place to relax.
