With access to some spectacular walking on Llangattock Mountain, The Blorenge and The Black Mountains,with restaurants, independent shops, pubs and coffee shops in Crickhowell, there is something for everyone during a stay at this stylish holiday home. The road up from the village winds around the hillside and over the mountain eventually reaching Brynmawr and the Heads of The Valleys Road. Explore the route along the towpath of the River Usk or take a stroll along the Brecon and Monmouth Canal, before sampling the menus in town. Explore the dramatic ruins of Crickhowell Castle and the market town of Abergavenny with its shops and famous annual food festival, whilst some of the best caves in Europe and caving for all levels, can be found on Llangattock Escarpment.
Originally a terrace of traditional quarrymen's cottages, this family house has been lovingly refurbished in keeping with the traditional features such as the exposed stonework and beams. The large entrance hall with terracotta floor tiles and a stone feature fireplace welcomes you in. The spacious and extremely well-equipped kitchen has a large electric range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer. The long dining table allows 10 people to dine together in comfort, whilst the sofas and chairs allows for extra seating. Light the wood burner, set in a traditional stone fireplace, in the living room and relax on the sofa for a film or gather everyone together for a board game. Indulge in some peace and quiet as the children enjoy the large playroom with pool/table tennis table, games, toys and a separate TV with games console and DVD. Completing the ground floor is a downstairs cloakroom with WC and the utility room with a washing machine/dryer, plus storage area for outdoor clothing and boots or a couple of bikes. Upstairs leads to five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed and access to the outside wooden terrace, whilst a further bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite with a bath. There is a further queen-sized bedroom, and a twin room with beds (which can be zipped together to make a king-size bed) that has an en-suite with a shower. The final bedroom has 6” bunk beds which are suitable for adults. Completing the upstairs is the family bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle.
Outside there is a large lawned garden with outdoor play equipment, perfect for children to play, with a further enclosed walled terrace behind. In the front of the cottage there is a sunny stone terrace, great for BBQs and dining outside, watching the sunset with the most fantastic views to Sugar Loaf Mountain and The Black Mountains.
