Clay pigeon shooting, golf and fishing can all be found locally. The town of Brecon ( 5 miles away ) boasts a leisure centre, cinema and theatre together with boat hire on the Brecon and Monmouth Canal.

A welcoming open-plan living area, with wood burner in the corner, offers views over farmland to the mountains. The well equipped kitchen area is a treat for budding cooks, who will appreciate the country-cottage-style cabinets and ample worktop space. A tasteful shower room with heated towel rail and WC complete the ground floor. Upstairs, the two elegant bedrooms are crisply dressed and thoughtfully accessorised, whether you opt for the king-size bedroom or the cosy single room with an additional sofa bed.

Back downstairs, step through the patio doors ready to unwind with drinks on the patio or a relaxing spell in the hot tub. The cottage is new, well designed and well located with excellent views. The interior is functional and a good enough size for a couple, with a single ground floor living area and bathroom with shower. There are some good walks directly from the cottage, and access to more substantial walking further afield (eg Brecon Beacons). There is a wood burnRead moreing stove but no apparent CO detector, so worth checking this out before booking. Hide

Spotless, exceptionally comfortable, tranquil with wonderful views. Good walks and cycle rides directly from the door. Secure storage for bicycles. The cottage was everything we hoped for and more.

Stunning views, well fit out, lovely owner who left scones and welsh cakes on arrival. Two sitting out areas & very light inside as lots of windows and 2 double French doors onto patios where we watched kites, buzzards and ravens daily.

This is such a beautiful place and so peaceful. From the Welsh cakes at the beginning to the starry night sky on our last night, its been a great stay! If you are looking for somewhere to eat, the Felin Fach Griffin does really good food. Make sure to watch the beautiful night sky on a clear night!
