If you love the great outdoors, you will find this location hard to beat. Fabulous walks from your front door, views of Cat Bells, Skiddaw and Blencathra. The local area is popular with walkers and cyclists. Use the launch to get across to the popular market town of Keswick. The local area has so much to offer, from walking an Alpaca to some extreme outdoor activities and water sports for those in your party who like an adrenalin rush.

Entering the property, you will enter the bright spacious hallway. There are three reception/lounges on the ground floor, you will never feel on top of each other in this house. One formal lounge with a bay window with stunning fell views, there is a cosy wood burner and it is the perfect place to enjoy a few drinks and catch up on stories from that day. Opposite there is a second lounge with large Smart TV and gas fire and to the rear of the property with views over the garden there is a cosy lounge with log burner and Smart TV. There is a cloakroom area in the hallway which has plenty of space for your walking boots and jackets. The open-plan kitchen/diner is a fabulous social space to gather over some nice food and glasses of wine at the end of the day while looking out over fabulous Cat Bells. The large dining table is set in the sunroom which has access and views over the garden and patio, this is a lovely extended area to enjoy some alfresco dining on a summer’s evening. The table comfortably seats 20 and the bespoke kitchen with AGA (which consists of two electric ovens, an electric hob,) and an island which has a breakfast bar and stools to sit up and enjoy a coffee or chat whilst cooking, which also accommodates a fridge/freezer and dishwasher. On the half landing up to the first floor there is a games room with TV and games console. Then on the first floor you will find five bedrooms all of the rooms are spacious with en-suite facilities. There is a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC, one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC, one super-king-size with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC and two king size bedrooms both with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Then on the second floor there is a twin with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC, two super-king-size with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC and one twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC and another double. There is also a utility room on the first floor which has a washing machine.

There is a spacious private garden and extensive patio with seating with views over the fells. There is ample private parking available on the private drive to the front and side of the house which will accommodate up to seven cars.

This is a fabulous place. It is the best equipped cottage I have ever visited. The quality of the fittings is outstanding. the location is sublime. Staring out to the surrounding hills from the seating outside of a morning was like a counselling session. It is simply in a wonderful place. You can see Catcalls directly behind which we climbed. the pRead moreark from the garden is not the actual peak but the walk is worth it for some of the most magnificent views anywhere in the Lakes. Gorgeous house in a fantastic location. Located right at the bottom of cat bells for a hike or 5 mins from ferry port to Keswick, st Marys mount etc.. Swinside inn local pub is just a short 5-7mins walk. Previous reviews stated problems with aga ovens, absolutely no problem with these at all. Really hot and ready to go. Large comfortable property with dining room big enough for all to gather but also multiple social spaces for those seeking quiet. Beautiful garden with plentiful sitting out areas. Absolutely fantastic location at the foot of Catbells.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location, right at the foot of Catbells. Comfortably accommodated our party of 18 without feeling cramped or squeezed in. Everyone agreed that we would love to come back again.

The house was just what we wanted for a family get together and although there were 20 of us there were ample lounges for a bit of peace and quiet. The bedrooms were well equipped and comfortable and the kitchen equipment and facilities - apart from one dishwasher not working - more than met our needs. We are already planning another get together iRead moren the autumn and Swinside House is likely to be our choice for that event. Hide

large well furnished house in a delightful position for immediate access to the Cumbrian paths and fells. Excellent for a large party....we had a family group of 15 and there was still a lot of space
