This beautiful single storey barn conversion with spacious living accommodation is perfect for couples, with a wealth of walking, National Trusts sites and market towns all within easy reach.

Set within the fringes of the Herefordshire countryside where you can enjoy farm walks and mature woodlands from your front door. A haven for walkers offering access to a mixed terrain being close to the Welsh and Shropshire borders where you can explore Elan Valley with its reservoir’s, the Black Mountains with its rugged hill scapes and breath-taking views from the rolling Shropshire hills. There are many villages and market towns to include Hay-on-Wye, famous for its book shops and festivals and Hereford, with its cathedral, Mappa Mundi and Chained Library are close. There are many National Trust properties including The Weir Gardens, Croft Castle and Berrington Hall to name a few. A variety of festivals run throughout the year such as The Three Choirs, Ludlow Food Festival and Bishops Castle Folk Festival.

Enjoying an elevated location and sympathetically restored to blend into the countryside, a clever mix of natural stone, wooden cladding and corrugated iron offer a contemporary twist. Step inside where you will be pleasantly surprised by the high ceilings, exposed wooden frame and stunning views across the farm and countryside. The living space is open plan and perfect for couples wanting to explore the area. The lounger area has a sofa which you can sink into after a day exploring, a Smart TV/DVD for watching a good movie and bi-folding doors with countryside views that open onto the patio area. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. This single storey barn has one bedroom, a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a 2ft 6" twin on request) with en-suite shower and WC. If you require a highchair or cot please request at time of booking.

Outside to the side of the barn accessed via the stone steps, a terraced area with table and chairs. There is off road parking for two cars.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was so peaceful. The barn we stayed in, is finished to a very high standard. Very clean, kitchen is well equipped for all your needs. Would definitely recommend.

This was our second visit and it felt like coming home! The owners are so helpful and accommodating. Thank you for allowing us to extend our stay as there were no incoming guests. The cleanliness and comfort of the barn is spot on. Really quiet location with easy access to local market towns and attractions. We loved the autumn colours last year. Best cottage weve stayed in for a long time. Incredibly well insulated and cosy, hardly needed to use heating. Owners very accommodating with last minute booking. Welcome pack of drinks and biscuits much appreciated. Very quiet location but easy access to main road for visits to surrounding villages and into the mountains. A lovely property in a delightful country location, very quiet and tranquil. Any cooking was easy as it was very well equipped. Very homely with lovely outdoor seating areas to enjoy breakfast etc. The owner is very helpful and gave great ideas for walks, places to visit and places to eat. Myself and my partner stayed in the smaller top barn. The barn has been beautifully restored and the owners have paid such attention to detail at every level it felt very indulgent and special. The kitchen was so well stocked made cooking even while on holiday a delight. Lovely cottage, fitted to a very high standard in a beautiful location. Pleasant walks available around the farm with great views - routes provided by the very friendly owner. Electric vehicle charging point was a very welcome feature.

Excellent accommodation for 2 and could easily use the existing bed settee for extended family. Owners appropriately attentive and helpful and loved the surprise fizz and cake to celebrate. The area has many areas of natural beauty to visit within a 20 minute drive and also some local walks without driving.
