This renovated Toll house is the perfect escape for family or friends looking to explore the Lake District. With some fantastic fells walks and the town of Keswick just a short drive away.

Beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake is right on your doorstep and the area around the cottage is perfect for enjoying scenic walks, mountain bike rides or heading out onto the water. More adventurous visitors may like to hike to the summit of Skiddaw and for those who like a tipple, the Lakes Distillery is just a mile away offering a great day out. Keswick is only a short drive away - a tourist hot spot, which provides an array of independent shops, eateries, galleries and parks to enjoy all on the shores of Derwentwater.

This property is steeped in history dating back to when it was built as a Toll House in the late 1820s. You can still see many of the original features and sit in the the booth area. The lounge/diner is a great open space perfect for you to enjoy any time of day with a wood burner set in the heart of the room. With its dual aspect, it can be appreciated sitting in the lounge on one of the two sofas or easy chair, while watching your favourite films on the TV/DVD or in the dining room enjoying a meal at the oak table. Through into the kitchen there is another seating area and plenty of space for all the family to cook up a meal. There is an electric range cooker and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. You will find a drying area and washing machine in the small utility room. Leading from the porch, or through the lounge double doors is the patio area with stunning views across the fells. There is ample garden furniture and a barbeque area making an ideal location to enjoy the evening watching the wildlife.
