Contemporary lodge surrounded by countryside and a stunning sandy beach, the area has so much to offer for lovers of the great outdoors, friends and family will make lots of memories staying here.

This stunning two-bedroom lodge is just a stone’s throw over the sand dunes to the beautiful sandy beach. The area is popular with windsurfers, but if you don’t fancy getting wet why not try your hand at some rock pooling and catch hermit and porcelain crabs. There are some lovely country pub/restaurants in the nearby village to enjoy a few drinks and a meal or visit the enchanting nature reserve and unusual church of St Mary’s, dating from the end of the 19th Century. There are plenty of coastal walks to try; head north along the Northumberland Coastal Path to Beadnell or south via Dunstanburgh Castle to Craster and you can always catch the bus back to the village.

Enter the lodge into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, it is a fabulous bright and spacious living area with wall to wall windows at the far end of the lounge and lovely views across the open countryside. The kitchen has a contemporary feel and is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer and the dining table has seating for the whole party. The lounge is a great area to relax and catch up after a day out, watch a movie on the Smart TV/DVD or play a game of cards. Large patio doors open out onto private decking. There’s also a convenient separate WC. Heading to the first floor you will find two tastefully decorated bright bedrooms; one double and one twin, with gently sloping ceilings and ample head height. Both bedrooms have dual windows and countryside views. The bedrooms share a spacious shower room with a shower cubicle and WC.

Outside, the private decking has garden furniture to enjoy alfresco dining or breakfast in the summer. The garden faces south-west and can be a real sun trap or in the evening sit out and enjoy the stars and sunsets. There is a shared, enclosed children’s play area with swings, a slide and climbing frame and a shared games room with a pool table, table football and Smart TV with Sky TV with Sky Sports and a separate WC, it is a great feature which will prove popular with the kids at night or on a wet day. There is parking for one car plus plenty of additional parking nearby.

Lovely location, lovely lodge, spotlessly clean, well equipped. Dog catered for too - porch to clean him up and stair gate built in. A great place to stay for peace and quiet and lovely beaches and walks nearby. Nice pubs within walking distance.

The property met our needs perfectly. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. Situated in a quiet location with fab coastal walks from our doorstep. And two very good pubs only minutes away...Perfect.

Really superb, good value, holiday home, warm and well equipped in a quiet location but near really good local amenities . Close to beautiful beaches, walks and wildlife, the local pubs are excellent for drinks and food. We are totally sold on this house and location and will be coming back.

Lovely well equipped and well maintained accommodation. Great location being just a short walk to the beach. The Joiners Arms is a cosy pub / restaurant either a short drive or long walk away. I can highly recommend this venue.

Fabulous location, warm and well equipped, but the lounge part of the open plan is sparsely furnished. Two small leather sofas, one small side table, floor lamp and a cheap-looking shelf unit, plus there are no soft furnishings, so not an area for a cosy night in, particularly over winter. Outdoor lighting is provided by a single movement sensor liRead moreght attached to one lodge, but doesnt stay on long enough for, say, unloading the car or taking the dog out last thing so it is pitch black. Had an amazing time at Sea Holly Lodge, the location could not have been better as it was right at the beach. The lodge was perfect for us and our 2 dogs and had everything that we needed for our break. It was a great base too explore from. We liked it so much I have already booked to return next year.

Sea Holly cottage was very well appointed in every way. The decor was modern and the attention to detail was second to none. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything anyone would need for self catering. The WiFi was always working which these days is a bonus In the countryside!

Very well equipped accommodation with everything catered for. High standard throughout including cleanliness.. Not too far to walk for the beach but stone drive and sand obviously would be difficult if need to use a walking aid. Nearby pubs very friendly within a short drive.
