Honeysuckle lodge is perfect for our week at Newton- by- the Sea. The kitchen is well-equipped. Theres a large patio at the back for dining, or you can sit inside with the patio doors wide open. There are plenty of birds to see if youre interested. The lodge is a 2 minute walk from beach - the main attraction for us. You can walk for miles along thRead moree coast and enjoy the most stunning views in the UK. After a days walking, the beds are very comfortable for a good nights sleep. Hide

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, perfect location and very clean property. Could do with signs about how to get to beach as its so close but we had to guess which way to go and it took a while to find the easy route. Sofas were very uncomfortable. Great place for 4 adults for a week, absolutely fabulous to be just 5 minutes walk from such an amazing sandy beach. Clean, well equipped, parking right outside the door. Views (not to the sea) out front (the dunes) and back (farmland). Loved the peacocks, ducks, chickens and guinea fowl roaming free. Great walking from the door, plenty of birds toRead more watch too. Within easy reach of all the great things to see on the coast. Will definitely recommend to friends, and return ourselves. Hide

Honeysuckle lodge was in a perfect location for our first visit to Northumberland. It was lovely and clean and well designed. Sadly the mattress on double bed has probably reached the end of its lifespan and was very uncomfortable. We are not overweight but you could feel the springs every time you turned over.

The cottage is in a beautiful spot, a ten minute walk from the sea. It is cosy, simply furnished, clean and an ideal base for walks. A morning walk to The Ship along the coastal path for coffee, or a crab sandwich for lunch sets you up for the day and theres plenty to explore locally by car too. Our favourite place to stay.
