Worth Matravers is a picture postcard village with a traditional green and duckpond. There is also an 11th century Norman church, which is well worth a visit. Local amenities include a popular tearoom and truly original village pub, well regarded for its live music and stone carving events. Set 1 mile from the rugged beauty of the Jurassic Coast, paths lead from the cottage to Winspit, Dancing Ledge and Chapmans Pool amongst others. Or why not head to the traditional seaside resort of Swanage. The streets are lined with independent boutiques, cafes and restaurants where you can try the local seafood, or simply relax on the sandy beach.

An unmade elevated farm track leads to this detached property. Heading inside via the main entrance, which can be found at the rear of the property, you will find a welcoming entrance hallway. To the left is a contemporary open-plan kitchen/diner with wonderful views over the rolling hills to the front. This well-equipped space has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is space to dine just opposite and also a useful utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and separate WC. The lounge is just next door and has views over pastureland to the rear as well as a TV/DVD. Heading back into the central hallway you will find a bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. There are two adjacent bedrooms, a cosy single (with additional pull-out bed available on request) and a king-size room. Completing the accommodation is a stylish super-king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

Doors lead from the lounge to a stone patio area to the side of the property. Surrounding the house on two sides are areas of lawn and there is ample off-road parking to the side and front of the property.

The property was perfect. We stayed in September last year and had to come back. There is a new further seating area which is just right to have breakfast on a sunny morning. The views at the front of the property are spectacular, especially during sunset. The property is well equipped, with plenty of parking.

A lovely and spacious cottage, very modern , plenty of parking. Access and exit from either entrance was a little tricky , and pot holes to avoid. Very quiet in March , a nice retreat in a well located village with some lovely walks , and a quirky local pub.

Lovely accommodation with fantastic views, though had to wait for the mist to burn off a couple of times. Easy access to Swanage and Wareham. Very well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Just beware for anyone who isnt steady on their feet that the bathroom tiles have a matt finish so stick-on hand rails dont grip.
