Located 6 miles from the village of Kirriemuir, this cottage is set with views of the rolling moors and is the tranquil escape you have been searching for. Kirriemuir is home to Glamis Castle and gardens, a former royal residence and birthplace of Princess Margaret, which is open to the public for tours. The village is also the birthplace of JM Barrie, the author of ‘Peter Pan’, and his home is now owned and exhibited by the National Trust.

The cottage entrance leads right into the large kitchen/diner, which is a bright space made very cosy with the addition of a wood burner. The kitchen contains an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee filter machine and washer/dryer. The dining table is set right beside the window so you can enjoy the views outside whilst seating four people. The kitchen leads through to the lounge, which has been tastefully furnished to provide a homely yet stylish space for relaxing in. There are plenty of board games and books to entertain yourselves during your stay, as well as a Smart TV/DVD. The master double bedroom is located at the front of the cottage and has been furnished with touches of tartan and beautiful canvas prints. The twin bedroom is located at the rear of the property and is the room with the highest ceiling in the whole cottage, giving the feel of a house rather than a small cottage. In between both bedrooms, there is a shower room with shower and WC, conveniently placed for access by both bedrooms.

Outside, the garden is open and made up mainly of grassed area to the rear of the cottage. Parking on gravel driveway for three cars. Please note this property has a private water supply.

This is a lovely cottage located a short distance from the Cairngorms national park. There are lots of routes from the cottage to roam the immediate countryside and the roads are nice and quiet for cycling.

Great stay . Cottage had everything you needed. Had no issues with Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The drive up from Kirriemuir ( 10 /12mins approx )was a delight thanks to the scenery.. Kirriemuir itself has a decent size Co-op and Forfar ( 15/20 mins away) had most of the major Supermarkets . Stay here and you will not be disappointed

We had a lovely week in this cottage. It is really well equipped and furnished. The welcome pack, coffee milk etc were a nice touch as the nearest shops are in Kirriemuir which is about 5 miles away. Shopping before you arrive is a good idea. The log burner was nice to use,but it is in the kitchen not the living room. The smart TV was good to have Read morewith a decent internet connection to watch on demand programmes. The road to the cottage would be difficult in snow or ice. Perfect for peace and quiet Hide

The cottage was beautiful, well equipped to a high standard, comfortable and cosy. Over the last 25 years, we have toured most of Scotland and this has got to be one of the nicest we have stayed in. We didnt want to leave. A great location close to the glens. We loved it! Thank you for everything.

The quiet place was interuppted only by noise of sheeps (what was great) and nature around was soul healing.
