  • Fantastic historic property designed by the renowned architect John Nash in the 1800s
  • Completely renovated with many original features retained
  • Superb exterior that maintains its character
Property code: FB303

This fantastic property, located just half a mile from the historic centre of Tenby which becomes completely pedestrianised during July and August, is the ideal place for a getaway where you can indulge yourself in some relaxation but still be within walking distance of an exciting seaside resort. Head up to the ruins of Tenby Castle (0.5 miles) for fantastic views of the islands of St Catharine or Caldey or go back in time at the Tudor Merchant’s House. Further afield, children will love a day out at the Dinosaur Park (2.5 miles) or Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (6 miles), followed by a peaceful walk at Colby Woodland Garden (8 miles).

As soon as you walk up to the property, you’ll be able to see that its original 1800s charm has been retained in a tasteful, contemporary manner with many original features retained. The bright and airy open-plan living area has a cosy feel, with comfortable sofas surrounding a wood burner-effect electric fire and Smart TV, while a large dining table and chairs sits by a window letting in lots of natural light. There is a downstairs WC, and the kitchen has a country-style feel with earthy-coloured tiles and white units, and you’ll find an electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a coffee machine, plus a DAB radio and a convenient breakfast bar with a pair of stools, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee. Up the staircase, which is thought to have been made from an old ship’s mast, there are two bedrooms one of which has access to the outside balcony. The first is a king-size room with plenty of storage space for clothes, while the second room boasts a double. Shiny white tiles and a roof window in the bathroom ensure it’s filled with light, and you’ll find a shower over the bath here and a heated towel rail.

Outside, there is a small, gravelled garden with a bench at the front, and a handy outdoor area at the side with a hose and drying area, ideal for rinsing off after a day at the beach and storing a paddle board or bike. There is also a small drive which fits a small car located to the side of the property (pedestrian access to the property behind must be maintained) and on the street just along from Worcester Cottage there is free on street parking.

Love this little house, it is the second time we have stayed here. It is very comfortable and is very well equipped for four people to stay comfortably. The house is in a good location, in a quiet residential street yet still convenient for beaches and the town. Our stay at Worcester cottage was average. We feel that the cottage could do with a little TLC. It does have huge potential to be cosy and welcoming but for us it lacked that. The parking can fit a small/regular size car but access is needed by guests in the property behind, they need to be able to walk through, this wasn't mentioned in the descripRead moretion. On first appearance, the property looks clean but it really needs a "deep" clean. In our opinion, an inspection is well due! Hide

Clean well situated cottage, the driveway was not really suitable for a car of even a modest size and a resident parking permit would have been useful, also some advice on what the different parking bay restrictions were, ie dotted lines , permanent lines etc.

Really lovely cottage, plenty of space for the 3 of us (2 adults l and 1 child). Comfy beds and furniture throughout. Kitchen well stocked. The parking is tricky - on the street there is very little that isn't permit and the space available on the drive is very small so only suitable for a little car (ford puma was pushing it to allow access down tRead morehe side) with a confident parker. Really good location, just a few minutes walk to the North beach and a stones throw to the town. Hide

Beautiful, Homely Cottage. Would 100% recommend staying here. Myself, husband and 3 children had a lovely weekend away. We didn't use our car as the cottage itself is 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes into the town. We will definitely want to stay here again.
