Located in the heart of Mid Devon you will be perfectly placed for exploring the whole of this popular county. There are miles of walks to be enjoyed directly from the property which meander through a rural landscape teeming with wildlife. There are an array of market towns and pretty villages to wander in the area including South Molton, Tiverton, Crediton and Witheridge. Enjoy days out in Exmoor, perfect for those wishing to explore this awe-inspiring landscape and Dark Skies Reserve. Head to the north to discover the string of sandy and surf beaches on the North Devon Coast, including Saunton, Croyde and Westward Ho! National Trust Knightshayes House and gastro The Lost Kitchen are close by. For family fun days out, visit The Big Sheep or Milky Way Adventure Park, both in Bideford and under an hour away. Take a horse drawn barge trip along Tiverton Canal or visit the cathedral town of Exeter ( 20 miles ) with it's bespoke and boutique shops, bars and range of water sports and eateries.

On arrival, follow the path around to the beautiful, characterful accommodation which boasts a ‘quirky’ layout, a perfect escape for families and couples alike. Enter the barn via the light and airy, wooden floored immaculate twin bedroom which leads to the kitchen/diner. This spacious, contemporary and perfectly equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and microwave – it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. There is also a useful cloakroom with WC. Head up the stairs to the lounge with apex ceilings, beautiful exposed beams, a wood burner and large French doors opening onto the decking. Settle in for the evening with a feast and the family either on the decking watching the wildlife or on the comfy sofa's and watch a film on the Smart TV. Completing the first floor accommodation is a pretty double bedroom with TV and a bathroom with hand-held shower attachment over bath and a WC. Please note that on the first floor adding to the character of the property, there are low beams and sloping ceilings.

Outside there is an enclosed garden with countryside views, great for both you and your four-legged friends to relax and plan your days. Guests will find a dining table and chairs on the decking, sun loungers for the warmer days and a charcoal BBQ as well as seating at the top of the garden where the views are far reaching over the fields and beyond. There is ample off-road parking available. Please note this property has a private water supply.

The snug was really cosy and homely in such a beautiful and peaceful location. Everything needed was there and lovely home furnishings in every room. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owners. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable peaceful get away and a lovely base to explore the surroundings.

We had a lovely stay with our 6 month old daughter. Mark and Alie were amazing and the views are fantastic. I would say you are about an hour from main locations like Woolacombe etc but this did not bother us too much. We would definitely stay again.

Exceptional hosts and cottage. Lovely places to visit, especially in North Devon. The cottage is very spacious, lovely and relaxing, with perfect hosts. They could not be friendlier or more helpful.

Had the most lovely stay at the snug. Snug is perfect work to describe it, my sister and I stayed here for 5 night's with my two sprollies. We were welcomed with open arms, nothing was too much trouble, trolly provided to wheel up our luggage. Cottage was beautiful both inside and out. Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Our dog loved the enclosed garden (as did we), we even saw a herd of deer in the field next to the garden on a couple of evenings. We loved this place! I stayed with my two boys and they loved it just as much. Its beautifully decorated throughout and the beds were so comfortable. A really fabulous find in the North Devon countryside. Even nicer than the pictures. Amazingly relaxing space. The most comfortable bed and huge sofa. Cosy wood burner. So quiet and cosy if you need a place to de stress and be surrounded by greenery and nature with just the sound of the birds this is the place for you. The owner couldnt be more friendly and welcoming and nothing is to much trouble for them, with plenty of room for a lively Labrador to run around safely

We enjoyed our stay at the Snug. Its a lovely place, all good sized rooms and very nicely decorated. It was clean and had everything we needed. A little quirky with bedroom downstairs as you walk in the front door with two single beds, kitchen/dining room and w/c. Upstairs bathroom, double bedroom, large lounge and double doors to the garden. Nice Read moregarden with garden furniture and was good for our dog to run around . Lovely welcome from the hosts, great little hideaway in Devon, beautiful cottage, so spacious and really comfortable, the photos dont do it justice, bigger than we thought. Took our young dog and plenty of room for her crate. Loved the garden very dog friendly and a wonderful aspect from the sitting room to the garden. Another lovely stay at Horseford Snug - had a great week, weather was gorgeous. Alison and Mark make us so welcome including our little dog who loves going there and enjoys the safe secure garden. Cake on arrival and all the extras needed to start the holiday comfortably. It's such a lovely place - you won't be disappointed.

This is an amazing place to stay! Owners Alison and Mark were the perfect hosts, so kind and friendly! The snug was immaculate throughout and extremely comfortable. The wood burner in the evenings was a real treat! Its the perfect place to relax on holiday. Saunton Sands 40 minutes away and Woolacombe under an hour away. A lovely market in South MoRead morelton and beautiful walks at Knightshayes too! I highly recommend Horseford Snug! Hide

Stylish, modern and immaculate decor; very spacious but also feels snug and cosy. Very well kitted out: the kitchen has everything youd need for self catering (proper set of cooks knives - very unusual for a holiday let). Great home from home feel. The hosts were very welcoming and really helpful with ideas for places to visit . Comfortable bed and lovely log burner which was really cosy with everything you needed in the kitchen.
