Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet in the heart of this charming fishing village of Mousehole, this is a great base for exploring one of Cornwall's hidden gems. The village's fishing heritage dates back to 1266 and the tightly knitted streets are full of local granite-built cottages. Mousehole was also believed to be the home of the last person to speak only the Cornish language and her house is celebrated with a plaque. The location is perfect for a stroll to a host of pubs, galleries, restaurants and shops, or as a base for touring Cornwall's breathtaking landscape, beaches and historic sites. There are also some fantastic walks to be had with the scenic South West Coast Path on your doorstep, as well as attractions such as Land's End, Sennen Cove, Porthcurno, Minack Theatre, St Michael's Mount and numerous beautiful National Trust properties. Although it is steeped in its rural past, the cottage is also equipped with many modern comforts throughout.

You enter through the front door into a wonderful open-plan lounge/diner which is cosy yet spacious enough for all the family. Light the wood burner and enjoy your favourite book curled up on one of the comfy sofas or watch a film on the Smart TV. Enjoy a family meal around the dining table after a day exploring your surroundings. Take two steps up into the kitchen where you'll find an electric Rangemaster cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer/dryer, so cook up the freshly caught fish from nearby Newlyn and enjoy a taste of the West Country! A stable door opens onto the terrace. Another door leads to the ground-floor bathroom with bath, shower attachment and WC. Some quite narrow, cottage-style stairs lead you up to the bedrooms and further shower room with WC. The charm continues with deep sills and exposed beams. The double and twin bedrooms have wardrobes and rooftop views across to the sea, while an additional single bedroom has plenty of space and overlooks the rear terrace.

Head outside to the private rear courtyard with seating, BBQ and storage area. Steps lead up to a fabulous decking area with rooftop views out to sea, so sit back, dine alfresco and enjoy! Pay and display parking is found nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay, nice location, comfortable bed and a well equipped cottage. We would stay again. Could do with a little TLC in places.
