Set along a no-through lane within the village of Wingfield, this mid-terraced cottage is ideally placed for touring. Walk to the local pub or travel to the pretty town of Bradford-on-Avon which is 2.5 miles north of the property.  Bradford-on-Avon offers fantastic walks along the canal tow path to popular destinations including Avoncliff Aqueduct and Bathampton. Visit the city of Bath, 6.5 miles north-west. There are many attractions to explore including the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and the Fashion Museum. Those wishing to tour further afield can explore the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and other historic places of interest like Frome, Lacock, Stourhead and Bruton.

A gate leads through the garden to the rear entrance into the cottage. Once inside you are met with a well-equipped kitchen that has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There is a dining table just opposite. A useful outdoor utility area is accessible from the kitchen and houses a washing machine and, separately, an outside WC. Next is the inviting lounge. This cosy room has a smart TV and wood burner and is the ideal space in which to relax after a day spent exploring. A door gives access to the steep cottage-style stairs, which rise to the first floor. There are two bedrooms to choose from, one king size and one double, and a cosy snug area, ideal for relaxing with a book. The bedrooms share the contemporary bathroom, which has a bath, separate shower and WC.

Heading outside through the front door in the sitting room is a small cottage garden.  Outside the back door you will find a fully enclosed garden, which has furniture and a charcoal BBQ, ideal for enjoying a meal or your morning coffee. To the rear of the property are also two off-road parking spaces.

The cottage exceeded expectations. Very comfy and warm with a lovely welcome pack of scones, bread, jam and cream. Pretty garden and lots to visit in the area.

What a lovely week away in the most beautiful cottage with everything we needed including a wonderful welcome pack. The cottage was immaculate and the garden is beautiful, perfect to sit in the late afternoon sun and safe for our dog to mooch around. Walking through the delightful cottage garden into a lovely modern, well equipped kitchen, we knew we would have a fantastic week. The cottage is comfortable and stylish, there are many curious & interesting decorative features, original art works and fresh flowers decorating the rooms. This is the most delightful cottage. Good sized bedrooms and lovely throughout. The host was very welcoming and generous. She had made bread and scones for us and left eggs, milk, tea and coffee. The cottage has everything you could wish for for a relaxing time away.

This cottage is a real gem! Warm and welcoming with home baked goodies on arrival. Well equipped, and beautifully clean with the added bonus of a cottage garden. Gillian the owner is nearby for any information needed, and there is good off road parking. Would definitely recommend!

Gillians cottage was superb for our family getaway; it had everything we needed, from a well-appointed kitchen to good Wi-Fi (both crucial when one has teenage boys). It was spotless, with all the small touches that make one feel really welcome and cared for. I loved the flowers; the boys loved the fresh bread. Fabulous family stay at the idyllic 16 Loves Lane. Great location for exploring Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. Frome and Bath were particular favourites of ours.
