This striking house combines period charm with a fantastic location in North Devon. It’s set in an elevated position overlooking beautiful rolling country views of Bideford and on clear days, beyond to distant sea views, the island of Lundy and Hartland Point. A short drive takes you to Instow with local pubs and a superb deli, perfect for stocking up on supplies. Enjoy a stroll on the traffic-free Tarka Trail, ideal for walkers and cyclists, or have a day upon Instow beach or Westward Ho! beach building sandcastles. Try surfing, fishing, golf or even horse riding locally. Other nearby attractions include The Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep, or Tapley Park with the beautiful RHS Rosemoor Gardens just a short drive by car.

Enter via an entrance hall with original ceramic tiled floor – bearing right leads to the large formal lounge with bar area and Smart TV. There’s a lovely kitchen consisting of an electric AGA with two hotplates and induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dining table, Smart TV and an under-stairs larder. A laundry room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. A beautiful lounge/snug with an original working fireplace and Smart TV can be found on this floor too. There’s a garden/dining room equipped with a wine cooler, a large dining table and patio doors out to a secluded seating area, perfect for after-dinner drinks. A second generous kitchen area/diner with Smart TV overlooks the pretty courtyard and Roundhouse and has a more informal feel. The first of the six bedrooms is a super-king-size zip-and-link on the ground floor, which can be made into a twin on request and has a Smart TV, with a shower room with a WC opposite. On the first floor you’ll find the remaining five bedrooms: one twin with en-suite accessed via a back staircase from the kitchen, two king-size with en-suite bathrooms, one super-king-size zip-and-link with an en-suite shower room and, lastly, one super-king-size with an en-suite bathroom accessed via four steps.

Outside, there’s lawn surrounded by farmland and often sheep, numerous areas the garden to explore, an orchard, a play area, BBQ lodge and seating. Established plants, shrubs and herb garden in the courtyard make it a delight at any time of the year. The games barn is set behind the house with table tennis, darts, a pool table, and table football as well as a collection of toys for smaller children. There is ample off-road parking.

Excellent accommodation lots of space. Road to Pines can be narrow but that is Devon and Cornwall. Lovely outside space BBQ house was really enjoyable and different Would throughly recommend.

A nice large property for a family get together holiday. There is a pub within walking distance that serves good and we were able to reserve a table for nine adults and three children. You will need a car or some other form of transportation to travel anywhere else. In Bideford we were able to hire bicycles for the day at a reasonable cost.

Gorgeous and spacious house in a rural location yet close to beaches and local facilities. Very comfortable beds and plenty hot water with excellent showers. One of the most warmest and cleanest houses we have stayed in. Lovely spacious rooms and beautiful grounds. Well equipped and comfortable. We all enjoyed the games barn. the barbecue lodge, the sheep and lambs in the field, the bowl of fruit and the delicious cream tea. Owners of the property were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful house for a large family meet-up with lots of room for everyone. Every room has an en-suite except for the downstairs bedroom which has access to the bathroom opposite and, effectively, is for exclusive use. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed using the range. The garden is extensive and very attractive. We made good use of tRead morehe games barn but think an update wouldn't go amiss. A fab weekend for our family of 9 including our 4 year old Grandson. The house was massive, clean, warm and comfortable. The Games barn and BBQ lodge were great fun. It was well equipped and enjoyed by all.

Beautiful house with lots of indoor and outdoor space. We were a multi generational party and the property was suitable for grandparents as well as young grandchildren. A lovely house in beautiful grounds, excellent for 2 or more families, plenty of space and a good location for exploring North Devon. The beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped, Aga was wonderful and the BBQ hut was great fun, definitely a must if you stay here! A very well appointed and comfortable property in a good rural location. Presented in a spotlessly clean condition and warm in the winter. 12 of us stayed and there was plenty of room. Highly recommended.

Perfect accommodation for a large family group, spanning the generations. It was warm, comfortable, spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the bbq lodge and the games barn. We would happily come back again.
