Nestled in a beautiful rural location on a large working farm with magnificent countryside views to enjoy towards the Gargunnock Hills. The fantastic Blair Drummond Safari Park is close at hand where you will find the African bush in the Scottish countryside. This is the only safari park in the country and contains many wild animals from big cats to sea lions, elephants and pay once for unlimited entry. With the Smiddy Farm shop and restaurant under 0.25 miles. The picture-postcard village of Doune with its historic 14th-century castle, a whisky distillery, antique centre and great local amenities is only 2 miles away. Within easy reach of the pretty town of Callander and the bustling city of Stirling.

Step inside this charming property, venture up a flight of stairs into the spacious open-plan living area. The lounge with comfortable sofas is the perfect place to relax after a day out exploring the beautiful local area. Watch a great movie on the Smart TV and on those cooler evenings light up the lovely roaring wood burner. Enjoy romantic or family gatherings in the dining area and admire the beautiful rolling hill views. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Next is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Followed by a pretty twin bedroom and a light a bright double bedroom, both with ample storage space and lovely countryside and rolling hill views to enjoy.

Venturing outside there is an enclosed patio with a seating area for al fresco dining or enjoy lazy evening star gazing perhaps with a wee dram, a nice glass of wine or good local beer. There may be the opportunity to spot wild deer grazing in the surrounding fields, watch the hares or you may be lucky enough to see the red squirrels. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable and spacious and in a good quiet location for visiting the trossachs area with the lochs and miles of cycle and walking trails. Stirling is a short distance away and a bus stop opposite the cottage drive takes you there with connecting coaches to other main towns if you are not driving. This is a beautiful flat. Quite large as well, there is a flight of stairs into the flat and steps down to the entrance door from outside - might be an issue for those with reduced mobility. Equipment wise- plenty of crockery / cutlery and a good dishwasher. The surrounding area is also lovely for a holiday. We had a lovely stay at Drummond Cottage, very quiet and private and has everything you need to make you feel comfortable. It is situated in an area with many things to see and do within easy reach. I would say that if you have a large car the parking space is very small and we found it much easier to reverse up to the front door.

The location is perfect not far from national parks or historic places. Plenty of local walks to admire lovely views around area. Cottage was very cosy. We had the best sleep in a very long time.

A self contained "apartment" in a wing of the owner's home. Steps and stairs to access, but the accommodation is all on one level and has a very spacious open plan living/kitchen/dining area, large double and huge twin bedroom and a well appointed bathroom. All rooms look out over a large garden area with views towards the hills in the distance. ThRead moree owners were eager to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. A beautiful cottage in a very quiet farming location. The light, spacious and airy flat is upstairs and completely self-enclosed. It has fantastic views over the surrounding scenery. Lovely spacious accomodation. The large garden and grounds were lovely I would definitely recommend this property. It was great to have cleaning products and dishwasher tablets etc the complimentary coffee was lovely too. We would come back to this property.

Wonderful stay with amazing views! The cottage was beautifully clean and the owners were helpful and welcoming. Easy access to Stirling, a lovely farm shop within walking distance and nice local dog walking routes. We would highly recommend this cottage.

Drummond cottage is very cosy, even without using the woodburner. It was spotlessly clean. The rooms are large and light with big windows giving great views to the hills around Kippen (especially in early April when the leaves are not out on the trees.). The location allows you to easily access Stirling for the castle and Wallace monument, Falkirk Read morefor the Wheel (superb) and Kelpies, the Trossachs. We also recommend the Carron Valley Reservoir for walks and the recreated fort (open certain days). Hide
