Tideswell is well known for its popular Food Festival, which takes place every May. It features a wide variety of food from local suppliers, as well as stalls, cookery demonstrations and entertainment. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular spa town of Buxton is within a short driving distance.

Step inside this thoughtfully renovated cottage that’s bursting with character and charm behind its white exterior. Enter the warm and welcoming lounge at the front of the cottage with its beamed ceiling, wooden floors and comfortable seating surrounding the Smart TV/DVD and wood burner. The cottage was very cute and cosy and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The welcome basket was great and they even left a slice of birthday cake for my daughter as it was her 21st. Finally, there was a lovely personalised welcome note waiting for us when we arrived.
