This charming home is nestled in a row of cottages with a small courtyard garden on the fringes of town, providing a wonderful base to explore the Goyt Valley and Peak District National Park.

Whaley Bridge, or the Gateway to the Goyt Valley, is an attractive small town located on the edge of the Peak District National Park. At the head of the Peak Forest Canal, the area boasts pretty walks and cycle paths along the water towards Bridgemount and Buxworth. There is also an array of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops to choose from so you can stock up for your stay. The train station with links to Manchester and Buxton is a short stroll away.

Step into the hallway, take off your coat and shoes and wander through to the lounge, with comfy seating for six and a TV for watching all your favourite shows. The kitchen offers everything you need for a home-from-home stay, including an electric double oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Come together around the dining table for a special celebration meal or a weekend take-away treat. On the first floor, you will find two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and WC, great for a soak after a day exploring the hills. On the second floor is a double zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a twin upon request). This spacious room offers lounge seating and a handy en-suite shower room with a shower and WC.

Outside, there is a small courtyard to the front of the cottage next to the parking area with seating. There is off-road parking for one car.

A very well appointed house with excellent taste in decoration and comforts. Very handy for some fine eating places and eating shops.

Good size cottage in a good location. Nice town facilities. The road is a little noisy. Patio area is a bit exposed Spotlessly clean with some nice extra touches. We enjoyed our stay

Lovely well appointed cottage. In excellent condition with thoughtful extras such as drinks snacks & toiletries. Second, en-suite bathroom is a bit of a squeeze bring under the eaves but the settee in that bedroom is a nice touch. Own parking space is useful. Good location for exploring the Peak District with range of local facilities on hand.

Great location for exploring. House was scrupulously clean and welcoming. The owner provided lots of little extras, including milk, tea and biscuits. We would stay again.
