This peacefully tucked away apartment is simply perfect for couples wanting to get away and enjoy the scenery surrounding the Holme Valley and the Peak District.

Situated next to the owners' family-run real ale pub in the village of Meltham, this apartment lies 4.5 miles south-west of Huddersfield on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Meltham itself offers a local supermarket, Chinese takeaway, three pubs, a post office, a sports club and an 18-hole golf course. Just 4 miles away is Holmfirth, the TV location of ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ - it's a great place to recreate some of the show’s famous strolls, too. Holmfirth has some great shops to get lost in. You are well placed to take some of the extreme sports courses in the area - look into caving, hang gliding, mountain biking and more. There are miles of public footpaths to suit every ability and interest, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for cyclists. Also two miles from Slaithwaite is Marsden Moor where there are numerous walks including parts of the Pennine Way. The train station is just 2 miles away with lines to Leeds and Manchester.

This cosy apartment on the first floor offers a fresh and tastefully furnished interior. On arrival, enter the shared entrance on the ground level and head upstairs to the apartment with its open-plan layout. The kitchen offers everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher. Dine at the breakfast bar with your loved one and afterwards, unwind with a glass of wine on the comfy sofa whilst watching a film on the Smart TV. The bedroom offers gorgeous views across the moor and includes a double bed. Take a refreshing shower in the shower room with WC.

Compact but ideal for us as a couple (plus dog) for a short break while visiting relatives. On a busy road but compensated by the stunning views from the rear of the property - without any intrusive road noise. Spotlessly clean and well presented. Be aware that the attached pub doesnt serve food, but is brilliant as a real social hub with great beeRead morers. All in all - excellent. Hide

Extremely highly recommended as a good base to visit the surrounding area. Very clean with everything you require from an apartment. The views are amazing, the pub keeps a very good selection of ales which are all of good quality. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

Absolutely stunning little apartment. Perfect little getaway for myself and my mum. Right next to everything you could possibly want but just far enough out of the way to mean that you dont get irritated by too much sound from outside. 100% will return. Staff were so lovely and we truly cannot fault our stay in any way.

5 stars all round, the space is small but perfectly formed. We had a lovely long weekend break, dog in toe, the accommodation was spotless and comfortable, the location is great as there are walks, a few pubs and food shop near by so you don't always need to use the car. The pub downstairs is great with a big outdoor seating area - note they don't Read moreserve food. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return! Hide
