This delightful cottage is situated in a mews in the heart of this traditional market town, popular for picturesque walks along the banks of the River Coquet, a scenic golf course and fabulous walking and cycling trails. Being so close to the breath-taking moorland of the Simonside Hills and the stunning Northumberland National Park, it is the perfect base for the adventurous, nature lovers and anyone in search of relaxation. A visit to Rothbury’s extraordinary Cragside House, gardens and woodland will leave you educated and relaxed and after a day out exploring, there is a range of independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes to enjoy from your doorstep, the closest pub and café are within 35 yards. Visit Alnwick for its magnificent Castle, stroll on Alnmouth's stunning sandy beach and discover Northumberland's famous dark skies.

Walk up three steps to the front door of this charming cottage and you will come into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With a cosy, cottage feel, there is a warming wood burner set in an original feature fireplace with comfortable sofas to settle into while you watch your favourite series on the Smart TV. The small, delightful kitchen has everything you will need, including an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge and a separate ice maker. There is a breakfast bar with stools where you can enjoy breakfast or an evening meal. The TV can easily be rotated to face either the lounge or breakfast bar. The spiral staircase leads up to the bedrooms. The light and airy first bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin on request) and a Smart TV so you can enjoy a lie-in checking the news and weather. It’s complemented with a dressing table and chair. The second bedroom has twin beds and a view of Blaeberry Hill north of Rothbury from the skylight window. The contemporary shower room has a large walk in shower and a WC. Variable lighting means you can choose a colour to suit your mood.

In the courtyard, there is a small bistro table and chairs, complemented with potted plants, where you can enjoy an evening drink or your morning cuppa. Just 20 yards from the front door is the very pleasant high street with numerous bench seats, allowing stunning views across the village with the Simonside Hills as the backdrop. You can store your bikes safely in the bike shed situated within the courtyard. Free off road parking is available just 20 yards away.

A real bolt hole in an ideal location in a beautiful part of the world. Great facilities nearby and some very good walks. Tourist attractions with a short distance and X14to Newcastle in an hour. Excellent fast WiFi and cosy heating with the addition of a lovely log fire.

small but cozy cottage, with log burner, spotlessly clean, comfy beds , in the Centre of Rothbury, but down a little alley ,feels more secluded and quiet , perfect for going out in Rothbury Centre, which is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and has a few nice cafes and pubs , which was handy as storm Darragh meant there wasn't much else to do , Read morestill had a great weekend visiting family , and finally found a decent restaurant , Bewicks , 200 yards away , great food worth a visit . Beautiful cosy little cottage in a gorgeous village location. It is quite small but space is used really well and it was perfect for us (family of 4). We loved it and would recommend it to all.

Very nice cottage and, being central in Rothbury, a great location. We were able to park close by and getting around the area was easy. Bus seems to go to Newcastle and Morpeth fairly frequently but did not try this time. Eating out and take away, well covered in Rothbury. Local shops,butchers, bakery, cafe pubs all a short walk from the cottage. ARead morell the essentials available in the cottages which is equipped to a high standard. Hide

Lovely location, compact and well furnished. Cottage is clean, well decorated and has everything you need for a great holiday. Recommend highly. Great directions from the owner as is tucked away. The town is really dog friendly and the pubs and restaurants good value and quality.

2nd time been here in a month, to collect our dog who s been stopping with family nearby while we have been away on holiday. Perfect English country cottage. Ideal location within the centre of the village with easy parking steps away. Lots of local bars to visit and a cosy sofa and log burner to come home to. Excellent shower and modern equipment throughout.

We stopped here as we were dropping off our dog with my father in law, who lives in 10 miles away!SELECTED!, n!ENDOFSELECTED!ever been to Rothbury before (weather was shocking) BUT really enjoyed Rothbury and this great little cottage, very clean, tasteful decor, great location, great use of space, would definitely stop again - loved it!

Lovely comfortable cottage tastefully furnished. Beautiful crisp bed linen and fluffy towels. Lots of hot water and heating easily adjustable. Parking easy and very close with handy large area of grass banking with bins. Perfect location in centre of pretty Rothbury. NT Cragside 5 minute drive so I went twice! The cottage is ideally situated for walking int Rothbury. It was very comfortable with a high standard of finish and all the equipment is a very good quality and it felt like home from home. Amazing place, easy to find, owner very helpful and easy to contact if needed. Everything we needed was in the property and made extra special with a bottle of fizz in the fridge on arrival. Can't wait to book again.

The cottage had a homely feel, it was tastefully decorated and suited our family of 4 very well (2 adults, a 7-year-old and a 4-month-old baby). Rothbury is a lovely town and a great base for exploring Northumberland. We've already recommended the cottage to friends. PS: The cottage is accessed from a courtyard off the High Street. There are familiRead morees living in the neighbouring flats and cottages (and some other holiday lets too) so expect a low level of household noise in the AM and PM. Hide

The cottage was lovely. Comfortable and had most items you would require. Shame there was no icebox in the fridge. Owner was very pleasant when we met him and helpful with queries. Answered promptly. My only downside was the no flexibility over dates as we ended up paying for 7 nights and only able to use 6. Not sure if this was owner or Holiday coRead morettages. Hide
