Lovely location close to the lovely picturesque village of Sedgefield, country walks for dog, and close to Durham. Cottage was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed.

Oaklea Cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the local area, as well as day trips further afield, & there are great local amenities in Sedgefield. Judith was a thoughtful & gracious host who had the hot tub & a lovely welcome pack ready for our arrival, as well as keeping in touch through the week with helpful information. The cottage was very Read morecomfortable & has a lovely private sun-trap of a back garden. Thank you for such a lovely base for our holiday week Judith! Hide

Overall we found the cottage to be clean, comfortable and spacious. The countryside views from the back of the house are amazing and a real feature of the property. Beds and sofas were comfortable and the shower was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery etc. For us it was a bit disappointing that the main TV was fairly baRead moresic and had reception issues. However the location is very attractive and convenient for the village and all amenities. Overall a very good stay. Hide

Our third stay at Oaklea. Very comfortable and so accessible for lovely days out either with the car, or without. We had a fabulous day at Saltburn and Redcar. We walked to Hardwick Hall and around the lake, and a lovely meal at the dog friendly Pickled Parson in Sedgefield.
