Great cosy cottage in a good location for the Pennines, Lakes and Eden Valley. Access from A66 is great. Parking not the best as not guarantee of a space. No local pub to walk to although there is a cafe at the end of the lane, and you can drive to an array of local pubs within 10 mins. Lack of cleaning equipment etc and no toilet rolls, washing upRead more liquid, bin liners etc so you will need to bring your own unless this is changed. Very dog friendly cottage. Beautiful garden would be great in sumer Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage with gorgeous features and garden. Lacking utensils in the kitchen so if you are planning on cooking maybe take your own wooden spoon and spatula. No corkscrew either and only 1 wine glass. Shame as no access to the advertised summer house and no key left for it. Road outside got quite busy so we tended to use the back acRead morecess. Lovely walk up the lane takes you down a farm track to a brook. In the village a recreational field signposted so great for dogs. Hide

This is a lovely cottage and was spotless but unfortunately there were lots of little things wrong that we could have let ruin our holiday. The main 1 was the oven being out of use for 4 days. Next 1 was that there was no access to the advertised summer house. There are no kitchen utensils in the kitchen. No outdoor furniture. No light at the back Read moredoor. The farm traffic and HGVs are constant and so are the local cockerels This is only some of the issues we encountered. Hide

We loved being in the middle of nowhere and enjoyed the tranquillity and peace around us, allowing us to reboot and relax, whilst enjoying the fantastic backdrop that is Cumbria The cottage was comfortable and cosy and although it is probably the smallest cottage we've stayed at, it felt like home and was just right for two adults and a young childRead more.
