The beautiful village of Thornton-Le-Dale lies just two miles to the east of Pickering within The North York Moors National Park and the Dalby Forest. This is an idyllic location is a walkers, bikers and nature lovers paradise. Attractions within the surrounding area include, Flamingo Land Resort, which promises a fun-filled day out and the history properties of Pickering Castle and Castle Howard is a great way to immerse yourself in the local history. Also, perfectly located to explore popular market towns of Helmsley, Malton and Pickering or a base for the North Yorkshire Heritage Steam Railway for a stunning journey across the Moors to the bustling coastal town of Whitby.

Step inside and feel instantly welcomed, make your way into the stylish and spacious kitchen/diner with plenty of room to make a home-cooked meal. The kitchen has everything you need including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and wine cooler. Enjoy your meals together at the dining table as you mull over the day’s events. After dinner, head to the lounge with a wood burner at its heart, light the fire and snuggle down on the sofa, turn on the Smart TV and pick a film to watch on Netflix. You'll also find a ground floor shower room with shower and WC and a utility/boot room which provides plenty of space for outdoor gear, wellies and walking boots, and includes a washing machine and tumble dryer for those holiday practicalities. On one side of the cottage is a staircase that leads you up to a single bedroom, a second staircase takes you to the final two bedrooms, a king-size and super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request). Completing this floor is the bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

A door from the lounge leads out to the fully enclosed country cottage garden, filled with colourful flowerbeds. Sit at the garden table and chairs, perfect for some al fresco dining or your morning coffees. There is bike storage available and ample roadside parking directly outside (subject to availability).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
