Pond Cottage is set in the pretty village of Ledsham, 6 miles from historic Chester with fabulous shopping, culinary delights around every corner, cultural events to attend and a multitude of other attractions. It is also conveniently located to Liverpool, the Wirral and North Wales. Top visitor attractions within 15 minutes of Pond Cottage include Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium and Cheshire Oaks designer outlet village. The historic city of Chester has the most complete city walls, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain. Enjoy exploring the Cathedral and unique Rows shopping galleries. Take a stroll through the Grosvenor park, a cruise on the river Dee before a sumptuous cream tea. The Wirral Peninsula is a hidden gem with magnificent beaches and country parks. A mecca for golf holidays, the Wirral boasts the Royal Liverpool Hoylake and a host of other attractions. This is the perfect base to explore Cheshire, the Wirral, Liverpool and North Wales’ mountains and coastline, all year round.

This detached cottage is full of interesting features, stylish interiors and a real home from home experience with all the thoughtful little extras for your stay such as underfloor heating. As you walk in, hang up your coats, slip off your shoes and go left to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The focal point is the room is the French doors opening out onto the deck with stunning waterside views of the wildlife pond. If you decide to cook with your local purchases from your travels, you will find all the equipment you need to prepare a delicious meal in the kitchen area with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. When the meal is ready, gather around the dining table and catch up on each other’s news. After a full day out, relax on the comfortable sofas, watch your favourite programmes on the Smart TV or choose from a selection of books and games. For cosier nights in, light the wood burner and plan your holiday activities by the warm glow. When ready to retire, choose from three fabulous bedrooms. There are two king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite wet room with shower and WC, and the other with an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The third bedroom benefits from twin zip-and-link beds (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request) and an en-suite wet room with a shower and WC. Each of the three bedrooms have Smart TVs. Whichever room you decide on it has been designed for a good night’s sleep.

The garden is stunning with a wildlife pond, established shrubs and specimen trees. Relax on the deck on the water's edge, take a picnic, stroll through the long grass or take shade by the trees. Enjoy alfresco dining on the deck with a table, chairs and charcoal BBQ or take your morning coffee in the front courtyard. If you are bringing your bikes there is plenty of storage to the rear of the property. There is private parking for four cars at the property.

What a wonderful, charming place! Both our dogs loved the idyllic space - So much better than the pictures! We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to go out & instead had friends over! Fabulous, roomy and comfortable. Well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Nice touch with milk, eggs, flowers, dog treats etc, and a very welcome cake to greet us. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Great location and a lovely setting if you want to explore the area and North Wales. Owners are very helpful. We enjoyed our arrival treats and being able to watch Woodpeckers on the bird feeders! Kitchen is well stocked with equipment.

Fantastic place to stay, location was great as Chester, Cheshire oaks and almost Liverpool are all within 15/20 mins drive. We were treated to excellent weather all week so chose to stay in some days and relax with the dogs in the fabulous garden.

Perfect place for our visit to the area. Located on the edge of a quiet village but close enough to Chester & the rest of the Wirral. We were made welcome with freshly baked cake fresh eggs from their hens & wine cooling in the fridge. Washing tablets supplied for dishwasher & washing machine. Ample parking. Really amazing place.. so close to loads of places but also secluded which is perfect. The cottage itself was amazing.. just perfect for me and my family. We loved seeing the birds on the feeder each day and the bonus of the woodpecker too! Great amenities for our doggies with extra towels ect. We loved our stay and would deffo stay again.

Pond Cottage is one of the best places we have ever stayed in, the property and grounds are amazing and everything we needed was provided, and much more. We've just returned from a lovely weeks stay at Pond Cottage. My husband and I had the cottage to ourselves for the first four days and really appreciated the welcome package and the kind words with it. Pond Cottage is so cosy and comfortable, we had fantastic sleeps both in the beds and on the sofas. We were greeted with some welcome gifts including an amazing Victoria sponge - absolutely delicious. The owners, who run the farm the cottage is part of, are lovely people and we were made to feel so very welcome. We were visited by some wonderful wRead moreildlife which was a pleasure to see. A lovely cottage in a great location to explore Chester, the Wirral and North Wales. The beds were the most comfortable we have had and the facilities excellent. A lovely week based at Pond Cottage, Ledsham Village. The Cottage is very clean, high specification with a beautiful garden and ponds, to explore. We couldn't have wanted for more for our family get together. The cottage is set in the most beautiful of settings with decking over looking a pond perfect for watching dragon flys hovering over the lily pads which opened up in the full sunlight, and even an early morning visit from the heron.
