With a nod to the ease, optimism and aesthetic of mid-20th century California, Casa Paloma is a vacation bungalow in Braunton that’s been designed around the elegance of natural elements and deliberate simplicity.

Situated in the village of Braunton, with its array of shops, restaurants, pubs, and takeaways. The famous Tarka Trail is within easy reach, ideal, and level for walking and cycling. Within driving distance are some of the region’s best beaches, including the enormous and breathtaking Saunton Sands, Woolacombe Beach, Croyde’s surfing Mecca, and Putsborough. Walking enthusiasts will also be spoilt for choice with the nearby South West Coast Path and Exmoor National Park, not to mention a plethora of National Trust land. Just outside the town, are the Braunton Burrows, England’s largest sand dune system, which provides a lovely backdrop for scenic seaside walks. Other places of interest close by include Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, and Lynton/Lynmouth, to name but a few.

As the result of the creative vision of its owner, this home features materials from all over the globe to bring the essence of wanderlust to the space. Step into this remarkable property beneath a mono-pitch roof that evokes Palm Springs style, the vaulted ceiling in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner creates an airy spot for living and lounging. The lounge area features a corner sofa, a Smart TV, a SONOS speaker system, and a selection of coffee table books and games. The beautiful kitchen/dining area is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave/grill, fridge, freezer, espresso machine, and dishwasher. The large marble breakfast bar allows dining for up to five people in one sitting. Following on through this delightful property you will find the first of the three stylish bedrooms, a king-size benefiting from patio doors out onto the garden and decked area. Heading across the hall you will arrive at the beautifully designed wet room, with a shower and WC. Next, we have a light and airy double bedroom that also boasts access out onto the rear garden and decking. Finally, completing the property is the third bedroom which is also a double.

Head outside into the beautifully landscaped back garden with a lawned area, decked area with pergola, garden furniture, and charcoal barbecue. To the front of the property offers a landscaped seating area, the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee. Completing the outside space is a dedicated building for a washing machine, large washbasin, surfboard rack, and wetsuit storage. An additional hot shower is located next to the back door for post-beach rinsing and washing. Off-road parking is available for one car.

Beautifully styled property, set in a quiet residential area. Back garden was a pleasure to sit out in and enjoy the early morning / evening sun. Fab bonus having Netflix subscription to use and also the outdoor warm water shower was really useful. Less than a 20min pleasant walk into Braunton village where there are lots of places to have coffee /Read more something to eat and several surf shops. 10min drive to Saunton Sands, Croyde beaches. Absolutely lovely place to stay, comfortable, clean, and in an excellent position to explore, Croyde, Staunton sands and Woolacombe. I would definitely book to stay again.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage and lovely garden to call home for the week. In a residential area so not a lot to walk to but a good base for driving around the local area. The cottage is really nicely done and has everything you could need. Would suggest bringing a blackout blind for any kids as rooms are very light. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had a gorgeous long weekend at Casa Paloma and loved the property. The space is designed beautifully, lots of natural light and thoughtful touches throughout. The beds and linen were so luxurious and comfortable. It felt like a lot of love had gone into making this holiday property a wonderful retreat. We took bicycles and cycled the Tarka TrailRead more to Instow and had lunch at the Boathouse. Great location for cycling and long sandy beaches. Perfect x Hide

Lovely, spacious holiday bungalow in great location for visiting the best beaches and local attractions of North Devon. Tastefully decorated and all comforts catered for with great outdoor space and seating for family BBQs too. Would definitely recommend.
