This lovely, converted barn sits on the edge of Bassenthwaite, just 7 miles from Keswick. This is the perfect base to explore the Northern Lake District: Cat Bells fell and the mountains Skiddaw and Blencathra are all nearby and there are some great cycling routes too. The bustling market towns of Keswick (7 miles) and Cockermouth (8 miles) are both a short drive away where you will find a great selection of local amenities, restaurants and the National Trust’s Wordsworth House and Gardens. The Lakes Distillery, home to the Lakes Gin collection, is just over a mile away and you can book a tasting session or tour. After a day out walking, why not book a relaxing spa day at the luxury hotel which is less than a mile away from your front door; they offer a selection of fabulous treatments or you can just enjoy an afternoon tea.
As you enter the barn, you will find the bright and airy lounge, with feature stone walls, a comfy sofa, two armchairs and a wall mounted Smart TV, perfect for settling down and watching your favourite films. The kitchen is just off the lounge: it is compact but equipped with everything you need to cook your favourite meals, with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer and microwave. When the food is ready, settle down at the dining table. The two bedrooms are also just off the lounge, there is a double bedroom with a pretty beam ceiling and a single bedroom, with its unusual low-level window. Both bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with a shower and WC. There is a private garden to the side of the barn with seating, overlooking the fabulous fells of Bassenthwaite.
There is ample private parking at the front of the property.
