A cosy cottage in the heart of Cartmel offering a great getaway spot to enjoy the wonderful Lake District region, with all it has to offer within easy reach.

This charming home is set in the popular Lakeland village of Cartmel in the south of the picturesque Lake District. Cartmel itself is a hub for foodies, but there is so much more to experience in this wonderful location, including a Michelin-star restaurant, local boutique shops, and an amazing day out at the racecourse. If that isn’t enough, the amazing Lake Windemere is a short drive away; explore the many well-known towns and villages on its shores either by car. Why not take the lake cruise from Lakeside and head up to Bowness, Windermere or Ambleside? Alternatively, hire your own lake transport and head out to explore the wonderful scenery on offer.

Through the front door, you will find a home away from home at this property which retains a lot of its classic features including exposed beams and walls. A cosy lounge awaits you with two leather sofas surrounding a wood burner-effect electric fire and a TV - perfect for a night in spent watching a movie. At the rear of the room is a lovely dining area with a glass table and leather chairs which creates a great atmosphere when it comes to mealtimes with the family. Through the archway is the compact kitchen with an electric oven and hob, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge/freezer. There is also a shower room with a WC on the ground floor, ideal after a day out on the hills as you can head straight in. On the first floor are two bedrooms: one double and one twin with bunk beds which offer views over the lovely priory and village.

There is no outside space with this property. There is on-road permit parking for one car (permit provided).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage is really well situated in the lovely village of Cartmel. Easy access to the Lakes, villages etc. Loads of info in the cottage - very helpful. It is quite small but plenty big enough for 2 people. Very comfortable and very well equipped. Highly recommend both the property and Cartmel.
