Set within the heart of the Forest of Dean, this spacious single storey annex is just perfect for couples whatever the time of year, with forests, rivers and pretty towns to explore.

Christchurch is an ideal base to explore the Royal Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, it’s a pretty village with a village pub and store. Just a short drive from the market town of Coleford, shop local produce or visit the restaurants and tapas bar. From your door, you are served with access to the countryside and woodlands, plus Symonds Yat Rock is a short drive and just a little further are the banks of the River Wye. For the more adventurous, there is caving, abseiling and canoeing available from Symonds Yat, and a high-wire rope course from Mallards Pike. Bike hire is available with trails that will take you deep into the forest. Visit Puzzlewood and Clearwell with their ancient caves, and Ross-on-Wye, with its timbered Tudor houses, shops and restaurants.

This pretty annexe for two is situated at the head of a peaceful, private lane with views onto the established gardens. Step inside to the spacious entrance hall where you will have access to a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink. There is a separate WC and a spacious storage cupboard for boots and coats. Continue across the hallway into the main living space where you can relax after a day of exploring. The lounge/diner offers comfortable seating with a Smart TV and a small table for two. The kitchen area is well-equipped with a gas oven and hob, microwave and fridge with an ice compartment. And when the day is done there is a bedroom that enjoys views onto the gardens with a king-size zip-and-link (that can be made into 2ft 6" twin beds on request), and there is an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, there are gardens to the rear of the cottage where you can sit end relax, and enjoy the afternoon sun. There is off-road parking for one car and bike storage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely place to stay. Very comfortable. Well equipped and could not have been cleaner. It was totally immaculately clean. The bed was very comfy. The shower was powerful and it was useful to have 2 toilets. Would recommend without hesitation.

This is a great place to stay. All possible in the way of comfort and equipment. Hostess provided a lovely welcome basket of essential items. You can walk down lanes or to the local shops or directly into the forest within moments of the front door. The location was perfect for walking and biking, with the forest only 200m away at the end of the lane. The host was there if you needed her and a great welcome basket on arrival. Wonder full accomadation.Every thing provided for you when you arrive to get you started, Apples wine biscuits eggs bread milk and even treats for your dog and much more .woods for lovely walks right outside the driveway gates.A lovely garden,a very comfortable bed and two toilets! Location was great to get to all parts of surrounding country too,CRead moreotswolds and hereford were both easy to get to also.The owner is on the property and can't do enough for you.Very quiet and peaceful.Great Holiday! Beautiful annex with everything you need for a wonderful stay. There was a welcome basket on arrival with dog food, treats, towel, blanket for our dog, and wine, bread, butter, milk, jam, coffee, tea, sugar for us. Also really useful things like cooking oil, metal foil etc. Everything you could need to cook or prepare food with. Great area with so Read moremuch to do, walks etc nice pubs close, takeaways in Coleford. Sally was a welcoming host, there if you needed her but not intrusive. Perfect Hide
