Set in a tranquil rural location on the owners working farm with access to footpaths leading to beautiful coastal and clifftop walks. The nearest shops and pubs can be found in the Georgian village of Hartland which is just three miles away and is also home to Hartland Abbey. The north Cornish town of Bude (13 miles) boasts a variety of shops and restaurants, beautiful sandy beaches and an outside sea pool. The town also hosts a canal where you can hire a canoe or paddle boat. There are surf schools, a soft play centre with bowling and an indoor swimming pool in the town. There is something for every age range nearby: surfing and sandcastle building at the large sandy beach at Westward Ho! (16 miles) Children will love the Milky Way Adventure Park and North Devon Wake Park (7 miles) and the Big Sheep Adventure Park (14 miles) or those looking for some myths and legends why not visit King Arthur’s Tintagel (31 miles) or a bit further down into Cornwall, the beautiful village of Port Isaac.
This beautifully converted stylish barn, is the perfect way to unwind and relax for family and friends all year around. Located beside the owners 260 acre cattle and sheep farm within the Hartland Peninsula it boasts beautiful ocean views to the distance. Step inside the entrance hall and find an area with plenty of room to kick off shoes and boots. You are immediately drawn to the large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which can be found along the corridor. Step down into this room and bask in the natural light that floods in through the large picture windows, making it a pleasant room at any time of the day and the social hub of the property. The kitchen area has everything you need to cater for every mealtime with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer drier. An island unit also allows for an informal mealtime and has two stools, whereas the formal dining table allows everyone to be able to be seated and eat together with comfortable dining chairs. The lounge area has two comfy corner sofas and a large Smart TV where you can relax and enjoy a film after a day of exploring. From here, on a warm day, you can open up the French doors that lead out to the rear patio area and garden. Heading back through to the entrance hall you will find a ground floor shower room with shower and WC and two bedrooms. One double with a Smart TV and one zip-and-link twin room (which can be a super-king-size on request) also with a Smart TV. Heading up the beautiful oak staircase you will find a further two bedrooms both having Smart TVs also. A king-size room (please note: a fire exit is accessible from this room, which is a door that leads down external stone steps) and lastly a zip-and-link king-size room (which can be made into 2’6” twin beds on request). The spacious landing area has a desk area and sockets should you need to work or catch up on your emails and the family bathroom completes the accommodation with a bath with shower over the bath and WC.
Outside, there is a large patio area with wonderful views across the countryside and the sea beyond. There is garden furniture, a fire pit and charcoal BBQ, making this a great place to enjoy al fresco meals or evening drinks whilst watching the sun go down. Children can play outside with a slide, trampoline and football net. Guests are also able, by arrangement, to explore the farm’s 260 acres of land and to meet some of the resident animals.
