This traditional 17th-century terraced cottage enjoys a superb location within walking distance of the bustling High Street of Winchcombe, offering a host of fantastic walks and places to see. Perfect for a family break or getaway with friends.

Winchcombe is a vibrant town with Cotswold stone cottages and timbered town-centre inns dating back hundreds of years. The town centre is a Conservation Area with many listed buildings and historic features. Take advantage of independent shops, delicatessens, pubs, and restaurants. A haven for keen walkers, with both the Cotswold Way and Winchcombe Way passing through the town, and Cleeve Hill nearby (9.5 miles), Winchcombe is most famous for its proximity to Sudeley Castle (1 mile) with its stunning gardens and children’s adventure park and playground. For horse racing enthusiasts, there is racing at Cheltenham (7 miles) and Stratford-upon-Avon (within 25 miles) with festivals throughout the year. For motor enthusiasts, Prescott Hill Speed Climb (4 miles) holds motoring events. Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway is nearby, with a station at Greet (1 mile).

The cottage itself has many original features and has been furnished sympathetically to further enhance its historic charm. Curl up on the sofa in front of the wood burner that sits proudly within the inglenook fireplace and enjoy a film on the Smart TV. There is a table and chairs for dining if you choose to eat in. The compact kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, electric oven, and fridge with an ice compartment. There is a washing machine available in the outdoor laundry space. When the day is done, climb the cottage stairs to find two bedrooms: a double room within the eaves and a further double room at the back of the cottage. The bathroom has a freestanding claw-foot bath where you can enjoy a relaxing soak, and there's also an overhead rainfall shower, and WC.

Outside, there is a mature cottage garden with stunning views across the open countryside and various places for you to sit and enjoy the sunshine throughout the day. There is roadside parking subject to availability and a long stay car park nearby.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming cottage, which has been renovated and furnished with love and style by obviously caring owners. Ideal position for exploring both Winchcombe and the surrounding area, just had to tear ourselves away from the lovely garden!
