This gorgeous stone barn provides the perfect base for families and groups of friends to explore the picturesque countryside of the Yorkshire Dales.

This wonderful barn is nestled in the pretty village of Rylstone, close to Linton Falls on the River Wharfe. With many footpaths straight from the doorstep, get your walking boots at the ready and spend your days strolling through open countryside. The popular market town of Skipton, known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, is just a short drive away, as is the charming village of Grassington. Malham is also within easy reach, home to one of Britain's most impressive natural features - Malham Cove, which is a must-see for anyone staying in the area. For children and railway enthusiasts, steam railways with regular excursions are available at nearby Embsay and Bolton Abbey, where the haunting Abbey ruins and Priory are a great day out for all.

The front entrance is on ground level, full of character and charm, a spacious entrance hall leads through to an open-plan lounge/diner. Relax on one of the sofas, watch a movie on the Smart TV or sit and marvel at the wonderful original features this property boasts. A large dining table takes command of the room, the ideal space for the family to sit and socialise over a home-cooked meal. Moving through to the kitchen area, where you can sit at the breakfast bar and enjoy a glass of wine whilst talking to the chef of the group. Fully equipped with anything you could need to rustle up a hearty meal, including electric double oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and wine fridge. To complete the ground floor of this wonderful home is a utility room with washer/dryer and separate WC. As you venture up the staircase you will find three double bedrooms, all boasting beautiful beams and one with en-suite shower room with WC. In the centre of the hallway is a bright and stylish family bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and WC.

Heading outside to the rear of the property is an enclosed south west facing spacious patio area. Adorned with pretty plants, outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ, it is the perfect space to enjoy al fresco dining. There is off-road parking at the rear for two cars. Please note there are sloping ceilings and low beams in two of the double bedrooms.

The cottage is simply stunning, a perfect kitchen and socialising area, the open plan flow on the ground floor is ideal for dogs, the area is outstanding for exploring and the cottage 'contact' was super helpful and friendly.

Very nice cottage well equipped with kitchen utensils and a full games box for entertainment. You can hear the road noise but you soon get accustomed to it. Would recommend for a cosy retreat.

Fabulous barn conversion in rural location but near to both Skipton and Grassington. The kitchen and lounge areas are stunning. The property has been sympathetically restored retaining some of the original beams and features. We loved it . With an added bonus of being only a short walk to Cracoe where we had a great Sunday lunch in the Devonshire ARead morerms . Hide

Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and has everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Our second visit and did not disappoint. Attention to detail is excellent. Great location for visiting the South Yorkshire Dales.

This is a lovely house, great space and really nicely furnished. The patio area at the back is very useful for muddy boots and dogs. The cottage is in a great location for walking to Cracoe and Hetton with some lovely pubs nearby. Good access to Grassington, and nearby towns. A good base. It is unfortunate that the road is so busy with large lorrieRead mores going to the quarry. Inside the house this was not too much of a problem but on a sunny day it was quite noisy to sit outside. The barn was a little hideaway during a wet week in the dales. We loved our stay in a comfortable, modern but cosy home. The kitchen was brilliantly stocked with utensils and appliances, underfloor heating helped warm us up after a days walking and the kitchen island meant everyone could be sociable in the evenings chatting the chef of the day! Lily Barn, what a beautiful place! Beautifully renovated! Lots of lovely touches including a welcome hamper and a hairdryer in one of the bedrooms!! Great location for lots of lovely walks. Ingleton falls, Malham cove and Janets foss are all a must see. Grassington is a lovely village, definitely worth a visit and wander round. This is a beautifully converted mill combining modern furnishings with exposed brick and high ceilings with beams. It was very comfortable and furnishings and fittings were of a high standard. The enclosed yard worked well for the dogs and the outside tap to hose them down after those muddy walls worked brilliantly for us. Wonderful cottage - spent as much time in the gorgeous kitchen as in the lovely living room. Really spacious and light living spaces. On entering the barn I was surprised at how big the kitchen and living area was. The photos really dont do the barn justice. All of the equipment and furnishings are of high quality. As previous reviews have mentioned the barn is right next to a B road and therefore you can hear noise from it and this is reflected in the rental cost. However, on thRead moree plus side it does mean that getting to nearby skipton is very easy. All in all we would return to Lily Barn. Hide
