Comfortable compact apartment - within converted farm building. Had everything we needed. Location absolutely incredible if you want to get away from it all. Remote, quiet, breath taking scenery. Spent a lovely relaxing week in this beautiful part of the Lakes. People really friendly. Some nice pubs short drive away. Walked to Wastwater lake every Read moreday. We will be back. Hide

Great location but a little short of basics - small glass tumblers and an outside table would help. Washing machine should be replaced by a dishwasher.

Lovely position and great location for exploring Wasdale, worked well for 2 adults and 1 dog. Thoughtful additions like OS maps, room for wet gear, fully equipped. Would recommend, and return.

Excellent location. Range of mountain walks are very accessible, some from the doorstep. The kitchen is well equipped. We had all that we needed. Nice big TV. It is quite small for 4 people. There is just one fairly small reception room, combining lounge/dining/kitchen. We had issues on arrival, with the storage heaters set on maximum making our fiRead morerst two nights uncomfortably warm, and the shower only supplying water that was too hot to stand under until fixed by plumber. Lovely little cottage occupying the first floor. If you like rural and quiet this is the place. We stayed 3 nights and wanted to climb Scarfell, it was a 10 minute drive or a lovely, flat 4 mile walk to the starting point of Scarfell, In less than 10 minutes you can walk to a lovely lake shore area of Wastwater. The road runs directly by the bedrooRead morem windows but as it is do rural we had more sheep passing than cars, so not a problem. Bedroom views were outstanding. Would stay again. Hide

The location of this cottage/apartment is superb, it is very rural and beautiful. It is a compact cottage but fantastic for 2 people.
