Great for a few friends after exhilarating adventures or families looking to escape the everyday, this home is a wonderful base from which to head outside and explore the Lake District.
Enjoy a fabulous holiday without venturing far from your door. With plenty of places to enjoy meals out, a tipple or two, or to spend rainy days, Keswick and it’s pretty streets are lined with pubs and attractions. When visiting the Lake District, it’s a must to book on a cruise and take to the water. Perfectly positioned for exploring Derwentwater, hop on a boat at the local marina (1.5 miles) or hire your own and make a splash! For panoramic views with a climb that is not too strenuous, walk to Castlerigg Stone Circle (1.5 miles) for far-reaching vistas and a mountainous backdrop. If you fancy a family-friendly night out of the house, visit the Theatre by the Lake or the local cinema.
Make your way inside after strolling the terrace which is shared with the neighbouring properties and head into the inviting open-plan living space. After a long journey put your feet up by the wood burner and enjoy a cosy moment in front of the TV/DVD. If you fancy taking in the views whilst delving into a book, then find a spot on the window seat and watch the world go by. Flowing through to the sleek kitchen/diner, find everything you need to cook up a storm, including a fan oven, ceramic hobs, a microwave, dishwasher, and a large fridge/freezer, and make use of the handy washer/dryer so you can clean muddy clothes fresh from adventures. After enjoying meals together at the table, climb to the first and second floors to rest your head. Treated to an en-suite shower room, the master bedroom has a double bed, TV and sumptuous decor to help whisk you off to sleep. On the first floor, you can also find the contemporary family bathroom with WC where you are invited to enjoy a soak or a rinse off in the shower over the bath. On the second floor, the tranquil twin bedroom (can be made up as a super-king-size bed if requested when booking) has quirky sloping ceilings and panoramic views of fells including Skiddaw. Spend a lazy morning in bed with the TV switched on before descending downstairs to get ready for the day ahead.
Take a mug of coffee outside to the small front patio where you can spend time in the fresh air whilst your dogs stretch their legs. Register for free parking in the local car park 24 hours before arriving.
