Further afield, you can find Edinburgh and you can enjoy a trip to the capital city using the new Scottish Borders Railway from Tweedbank Station. The property itself is located in the small and peaceful village of Ettrick. The village has a vast history, literary lights including Sir Walter Scott, James Hogg and Ettirck Shepherd all spent time here and it’s easy to see why. The nearby Yarrow Valleys offer a beautiful and undisrupted vista where you can enjoy the tranquillity. For those who are more adventurous, Glentress Forest is the UK’s leading mountain bike centre and is within easy reach of the property and there are plenty of other outdoor activities to partake in. Approached by a long track road, the majestic tower sits within private grounds. Once you have entered the property, two steps down from the hall lead you into the kitchen which has been handcrafted and offers an AGA, fridge, freezer, microwave, espresso machine, dishwasher and pantry, which makes preparing your family’s favourite meals as easy as possible. The kitchen is also home to the grand dining table, this room is full of charm and grandeur. The first bedroom is on the first floor and features a king-size zip-and-link bed with an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. The next bedroom is accessed via a stone spiral staircase and is fitted with a super-king-size bed and a private bathroom with an opulent roll-top bath and has a shower over and WC. The third and fourth bedrooms are on the third floor, and are also accessed via a stone spiral staircase, and there is a king-size zip-and-link with an en-suite bathroom with WC and a double with a roll-top bath and WC. The fifth bedroom is on the fourth floor and is located in the top tower. This bedroom is accessed via a stone and wooden spiral staircase and benefits from a king-size zip-and-link with an en-suite shower room with WC. There is also 2 additional WCs which can be found on the ground floor and a handy wetroom situated on the third floor tower.

Beautiful Fireplace and wonderful comfy beds. Absolutely amazing! Very different to a lot of other holiday houses. Stunning garden and a most wonderful housekeeping team.
