There are many caves to explore and walks of varying length through picturesque countryside, even attempt the peak of Ingleborough, 6 miles away. Follow the 5-mile Waterfalls Trail, from Ingleton, 3 miles from home, and see the White Scar and Ingleborough Caves, both a short drive away. Venture into the Cumbrian market town of Kirkby Lonsdale to potter in independent shops and dine out. Drive 15.5 miles to the edge of the Lake District, with its beautiful walks and outstanding scenery.

Perfect for children or anyone needing to catch up on a little work, there’s a desk, stereo and extra TV with DVD player. Further on, find there is a downstairs bedroom, with a double bed and enchanting rural views. Close by, a shower room, with WC and handbasin, makes the arrangement ideal for anyone with limited mobility. There is also a utility room, with washing machine, tumble dryer and upright freezer, plus ample space for drying your damp dog and storing wellies and raincoats. The airy kitchen is superb for whipping up holiday fare, with its range-style oven, with five ceramic hobs, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and dishwasher. Carry your tasty dishes through to the open-plan lounge/diner, with its beamed ceiling and parquet floor, when ready and call everyone to the table. Afterwards, settle down in front of the Smart TV to enjoy a holiday movie together. Find your two remaining bedrooms upstairs. These include a king-size room and a double room. The main bathroom, with its freestanding bath, with handheld shower, WC and handbasin, is also at this level.
Spend sunny afternoons out in the west-facing enclosed rear garden with views to the Lakeland fells, or the more secluded south facing front garden. Please do be aware that the garden is not escape-proof! Enjoy a cup of tea and slice of cake as you soak up the serenity, absorb the views and watch the children playing on the lawn. The cottage has parking for two cars and EV charging is available by prior arrangement with the owner.
