Sitting in the heart of the Wasdale Valley, home to England’s deepest lake and highest mountain, explore this beautiful landscape from your door. The edge of Wastwater is half a mile from your door so you can enjoy a waterside wander or a paddle in the crystal-clear water. Just 5 miles away is the pretty village of Gosforth where you can treat yourself to a night out or pick up your favourite ingredients. In the village churchyard, find the oldest and tallest Viking Cross in England.

Climb stairs to this first-floor apartment and settle in to make yourself at home. Open-plan with exposed beams and marvellous views, the kitchen/lounge/diner is the heart of the home. Find a spot on the sofa or a chair and get cosy in front of the TV. A selection of handy books on the local area will help you to plan your adventures. The small kitchen has all you need to cater from breakfast ‘til dinner. In addition to the electric hob, oven, separate microwave, fridge, and freezer, there is plenty of storage space. Cook up a storm and plate up at the dining table which has room for four guests. When it’s time for bed, both bedrooms boast fantastic views so you can enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep and wake up to see your surroundings. Both rooms are doubles and share the contemporary shower room with walk-in shower and WC.

Nice accommodation. Was clean and comfortable. Location is superb however you will get zero phone or internet reception and there is no WiFi at the address. Better available for the price asked if you book early enough. Overall I would stay again but only if no other availability locally which is why we stayed this time .

Nice enough apartment for our needs. We love the Wasdals location and the situation was spot on. Zero mobile coverage and no internet, though if youre a BT customer there were some shared networks in range. The person staying beliw us let their dog bark from 7am in the morning which was irritating. Beds were uncomfortable. Shower was great. Next tiRead moreme we will be looking for a cottage rather than shared apartment building for a more relaxing and quiet break. Hide

There is no courtyard to sit inasmuch advertised it is a work site and feel this should have been made clear. Although it states that there is no WiFi it doesn't mention that there is no 4g or mobile phone reception which leaves you very vulnerable . Overall it was a very pleasant stay ideal for walking and water sports.

A basic but comfortable apartment with stunning views and a great location. Bedrooms very small but big enough to sleep in. Spotless. Loved walking the half mile to Wastwater each morning for a chilly swim. Lots of walking direct from the door and close to Wasdale Head to tackle some of the Wainwright giants. Recommend the pubs in Nether Wasdale (SRead moretrands) and also in Boot (The Boot Inn & Brooke House). Would stay here again. Hide
