My partner and I spent a weekend at Johnby Hall studio along with our three rescue dogs. The property and grounds were beautiful, tidy and more than ideal for all of us. Henry and Anna were lovely hosts who couldn't have been more friendly, approachable and accommodating. Both we and the dogs also loved their friendly male Labrador Styx! However, iRead moret would perhaps be beneficial mentioning there are other dogs on the property incase other guests have dogs that aren't friendly towards other dogs. Hide

The cottage was wonderful, idyllic. Everything we needed for our week long stay was provided and, due to the unusually cool weather they fired up the biomass boiler for some heating (even-though electric heaters were provided). The cottage is set in beautiful grounds, with wild-flower gardens, orchard, woodland...lots of green space... Very peacefuRead morel. The rural location of Greystoke village was ideal, close enough to Penrith for shops and eateries and perfect for exploring the Lake-District. Hide

The location is good for accessibility to the North Lakes. The owners, Anna and Henry are very nice and welcoming and we enjoyed chatting to them, along with their labrador, Stix. The bed was very comfortable and the Studio was very clean. Our only comment would be that the furniture in the lounge could do with updating. The sofa is very tired and Read moresmells a little. The kitchen equipment is very minimal and could also do with some purchasing of new things. Otherwise, a lovely stay. Hide

I would describe the studio as quirky but very comfortable. The hosts have provided everything you need including a piano to practice on should you feel the need. We were there in the winter but I think the grounds will be lovely come the spring and summer. Lovely comfy beds as well and a friendly welcome from Henry and Anna
