If you’re looking for a more challenging walk, visit Burnhope Seat at 7.5 miles away. It’s the highest fell in the North Pennines and has superb views at the peak. Yad Moss (7 miles) is a real-snow ski area with its own ski lift and a few varied ski and snowboard routes – weather dependent of course, but worth checking the forecast in advance if you have your own ski gear. 18 miles from the property is Penrith, an attractive town with plenty of independent shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
