Keswick is a bustling town that boasts peaceful, quiet areas as well as independent shops and an array of eateries, from coffee bars to ice cream parlours. Put on your walking boots and head up ever-popular Latrigg spotting wildlife along the way. Pack a picnic and walk or cycle the full 10-mile circuit around the lake, and adventure enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice: try paddleboarding on the lake, rent a bike from Keswick Mountain Bikes, or make a splash with some ghyll scrambling. There are lots of outdoor adventure activity providers around the lake. Mirehouse and Gardens, 4.5 miles away has lovely parkland and gardens, whilst Wordsworth House, 13 miles, is the historic former home of Wordsworth featuring period details, tours and educational programs. Travel 25 miles to the Solway Coast for expansive horizons and pebble beaches to enjoy a bracing seaside stroll. End the day with a hearty meal at one of the many pubs within 0.5 miles of the cottage.

A wonderful home from home, white walls and light floors are complemented by skylights and patio doors to create a bright and spacious living space. Brightly coloured furnishings and artwork add splashes of character and cheer. Step into the open-plan living and dining space, great for gathering everyone together at the end of a busy day. The compact kitchen has an electric oven and modern induction hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Relax on the stylish armchairs around the TV or take a seat on the sofa in the glass-fronted extension, where French doors open onto the patio area, the perfect place to catch up with a good book. Upstairs, there are two cosy double bedrooms, the first with a wardrobe and handy shelves for storage, the second with useful hooks. The family shower room completes the accommodation.

Outside, the patio is an ideal spot for al fresco dining. Wake up with a coffee in the morning enjoying a peaceful moment watching the comings and goings of the local birds and wildlife. In the evening, indulge in an evening glass of wine as the sun goes down.

Beautiful bright cottage, very comfortable, felt like home. Quiet and private location at the end of a cul-de-sac, surrounded by trees. Easy to get to town and we walked Latrigg from the door. No parking in front of the house but we always parked easily. Bedrooms and bathroom all a good size, waterfall shower was gorgeous. Downstairs has a particulRead morear lovely flow with doors onto a small garden. Excellent supply of kitchen equipment as well as books, maps and a few games. We hope to return soon. Hide

We enjoyed our stay but would probably not return due to lack of parking and lack of privacy as no blinds downstairs.

The house is very well located, within easy walking distance into town and perfectly placed to explore beautiful walks in the area and tackling Scafell Pike! The living area is light, airy and spacious and the kitchen has everything you need. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds comfortable. The garden was particularly lovely.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Near the town for all amenities but still away from the hustle and bustle. Would recommend a stay if visiting Keswick or the Lake District.

Excellent. Clean, warm and spacious. Ive never stayed in a holiday cottage with such a well-equipped kitchen. So often there are things that one needs missing. But not here.
