Just a short drive from Keswick and the mighty Derwentwater, explore the very best of the Lake District National Park with a stay in the quaint Cumbrian village of Threlkeld.

Perfectly poised for getting the very best out of this delightful area, this barn conversion is well suited to guests who want to explore the nearby mountains and lakes on foot or on two wheels. Enjoy walks on the Blencathra mountain from your doorstep or venture a little further to find Skiddaw (9 miles) or Knott (5 miles). The wonderful lakes in your vicinity include Bassenthwaite (7.5 miles) and Ullswater (10.5 miles), as well as Keswick’s waterside accompaniment Derwentwater (5 miles). Keswick itself is an ever-busy market town just 4 miles from home with fascinating tourist attractions, adrenaline seeking adventure centres and even an independent cinema and lake.

Venture inside and step into an open-plan living space straight away. Boasting a bright and neutral colour scheme that’s flooded with light, this room offers a wonderful space to unwind together. The kitchen has been fitted with a fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher, along with a sociable breakfast bar. The dining table sits neatly alongside the kitchen space. Completing this room is a pretty lounge area with an inviting L-shaped sofa, cosy wood burner and TV for your entertainment. Step up from the lounge to find a utility room with washing machine and WC. Continue up to the first floor to find three bedrooms, the first of which is a master double with en-suite shower room and the bed perfectly positioned to enjoy the views. Along with a contemporary family bathroom with WC, bath and separate shower, this floor also boasts a cosy double bedroom and snug single room .

Completing the property is a lovely garden area with Blencathra as it's backdrop.

This is a fabulous cottage with wonderful views of the hills. 10 minutes walk above Threlkeld so really peaceful. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and with excellent showers. We are already thinking about when we can come back!

A beautiful barn conversion with fantastic views. The property has everything you need plus lots of added extras. Angela and David were lovely and told us about the farm and the history of the surrounding area. Will definitely be returning.

What a beautiful cottage with the most amazing view! We loved our stay in Granary Cottage. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Angela and family made us most welcome. Would definitely recommend.

The best holiday cottage we have stayed in, in the Lake District. A warm welcome from Angela and David and nice to have fresh milk, lots of tea and coffee and fantastic biscuits on arrival. A perfect place to just get away and relax, nice little village, a short drive from Keswick with lots of walks straight from the door. Cottage was spotless and Read morehad everything required. Granary Cottage is in a perfect location, fabulous views and you could spend a week doing different walks from the doorstep. A beautiful cottage in a quiet rural location.. cottage had everything you needed for a perfect holiday. Hosts were lovely and always available for a chat and for advice on local walks. Granary Cottage is easily the best cottage we have ever stayed at. It was clean, warm and comfortable. It had plenty of room and each room was furnished to a high level with loads of little extras that make this a fantastic place to stay. The showers were incredible and bathrooms spotless. It was particularly helpful to have the emergency vet's number to hand as we needed to use it on the first night of our stay. The cottage was cosy and spotlessly clean. We appreciated the welcoming touches and friendly welcome.

Really lovely cottage in the Lakes with many walks from the cottage itself. Very close to Keswick. Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water when we wanted and well equipped kitchen. Owners very friendly and happy to help if needed. We had a lovely weeks stay.
