Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location. Really close the the amenities of Glenridding, but because it's a little up the valley, you get stunning views, and don't fell that you are in a village at all. You could sit on the (south-facing) bench at the front of the house all day, if there weren't so much else to do - climbing the mountains from youRead morer door, and enjoying the watersports on the lake. The cottage is nicely decorate and furnished, and really cosy and comfortable. Hide

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Cottage was relatively clean and well furnished. Bedrooms were well equipped with stunning views of the hills. There is no welcome pack on arrival and no condiments are provided so make sure you bring salt/pepper/oil etc. Shops are quite a walk down a steep track so you will need essentials on first arriving.Read more Drive up to the property is very steep and on a rocky track so be prepared for that. Lovely cottage, perfectly located for the Helvellyn range and good for Ullswater (we canoe as well as fell walk). Comfortable and practical - what more do you need. Do be aware of the access road, as grounding low cars is a risk, but keep it slow and you'll be OK
