The town of Windermere is just 1.5 miles up the road and is well worth a visit too, perhaps walk along the banks of the lake to get there. A lovely spacious cottage in a great location, really ideal if you don't want to use the car whilst away. We stayed as two couples and had plenty of room. The cottage also had a downstairs toilet not listed which we found really handy.
