A popular holiday resort on the south coast of Wales, full of places to visit – sandy beaches fringed by rocks, rough cliff faces, amusement parks and funfairs. Kenfig’s Nature Reserve is less than 5 miles from the property and is the starting point of a 3-mile coastal walk past shipwrecks and dunes packed with wildlife. The walk ends at the long, golden, sandy, west-facing beach of ‘Rest Bay’ (2.5 miles away) which has a state-of-the-art water sports centre providing a perfect base for more outdoor activities. With cycle routes to join, running from Trecco Bay to Rest Bay just on your doorstep. Swansea Bay and Cardiff city are both within 30 miles and easy to reach via the M4 if you’d like to explore more of Wales.

The lounge area with a sofa and comfy armchair is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploration. Head up the beautifully-crafted oak staircase where you’ll discover the first bedroom with a comfortable single bed and lovely big windows to let the light flood in. Next to it, you have another light and airy single room with a double bed to give you that extra bed space to spread out and watch your favourite programme on the Smart TV/DVD located on the wall. Lovely modernised base not far from the beach (5/10 min walk). Local pub round the corner, plus Chinese, Greggs and really well stocked co-op within walking distance which was excellent. Walk to fabulous fish & chip shop in town and round the corner from yet another beach was 15mins. Finnegans, definitely worth a try. Food was delicious. Plenty to Read moredo and see within a few miles driving distance or within walking distance if preferred. Very comfortable base, would definitely recommend. Hide

Gorgeous house. Very well equipped. The kitchen is amazing. Spotlessly clean everywhere. It was lovely to have 2 bathrooms.. so no queues there. Very close to Porthcawl seafront. Supermarket very nearby too. We will definitely use again when visiting family in Bridgend.

Truly 5 star accommodation in terms of furnishings, equipment and decor. Everything one could need has been thought of and it is all spotlessly clean. It is well located for all local amenities and a great centre for long walks along the beaches.
