Had a great week, loved the cottage and location, enjoyed watching the birds in the adjacent field especially a barn owl out hunting in the evening. The lanes are good for walking as so little traffic and we covered many miles in all directions including to Kirkby Lonsdale, along the canal to Burton in Kendal and Hutton Roof Crags. The pub at LuptoRead moren is well worth a visit and easy to walk to. C&R Wakefield Hide

The cottage is on a stunning location, it's compact. Comfy beds and nice shower. It's a very narrow road to the cottage. We had a lovely stay.

Had a great holiday. The Stick Barn is a lovely, cosy cottage with amazing views. The bed was so comfy slept really well. Great location to visit the South Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales. The lane approaching the cottage was very narrow but luckily we only met one other car.
